Not Kemp wouldn’t be surprised to see Stubbs go there they need an experienced centre half and GA more or less said there are one or two players who could go when replacements are signed. They are also linked with resigning Charlie Wyke

Wyke would be a good signing for them, but I can't see them signing Wyke, Armstrong and Young, it wouldn't make sense.

Stubbs, meh. I think he can play at L1 level, but don't think he'd be much good there.

Had a bit of a read of the Carlisle forum the other day when the Young link started and they couldn't see it because they already have 6 or 7 strikers on the books, same with Wyke. Stockpiling players at the minute and not many are leaving.

As I've posted Steve he shouldn't be the one answering questions about Jake youngs future at the club our CEO is the one who should be commenting on transfer speculation.

    Absolutely correct
RS needs to man up and tell us what's going on
Watching the interview again he obviously knows the score with JY and been told to keep quiet and he's not happy with it
On taking the job he must have relished the thought of the Leagues 2nd top scorer and last year's top scorer to choose from think there may be a bit of friction developing between GA and RS

In his first 18 months he'd extended one managers deal, sacked 3 and just hired Hughes as well as signing up every business between here are Ripon to sponsor a blade of grass or a step in the Sunwin stand. Fairly certain he ran out of words to put into statements!

Not defending the bloke but half the forum TOLD him to keep quiet!

We can’t have it both ways unless it suits social media that is?

It looks like to me that most fans seem to think that it's Jake Young who's controlling the current situation and I couldn't disagree with them more.
We are not in a perilous position where we would need to throw him in whether he was fully fit or not, We are not short of players (ala Swindon) We were on a decent run, so no need to disrupt things. If we'd played him straight off and he'd have aggravated his injury and possibly been out weeks/months, he would have been no good to us in a promotion push/relegation battle (depending on your viewpoint!)
It would have also killed any interest in him from other clubs and any possible windfall coming our way!
I don't believe for 1 minute that he was brought back just to be sold but think the club are being sensible in their management of the situation tbh.
If we receive a substantial bid, I think he'll be off, if not I fully expect him to be back involved by the end of the month.
The club are controlling the present situation and not Jake as some seem to think, and rightly so Imho.

I think you are being naive. Jake Young and his agent are making sure he is declaring himself not fit to be selected for us.

He declared he was fit enough to play for Swindon, and as soon as he signs for Carlisle, or whichever team it may be, he will be up and running and playing again.

But what if no acceptable bids come in by 31Jan - he stays with us. So if JY and agent controlling this then a risky tactic. If club managing it we'll then is this the GA effect starting to take hold. I am on the fence here and will only believe something once the actual outcome speaks for itself

I have no doubt Idle that his injury is not serious as no matter what the precarious position Swindon found themselves in, you cannot run or even walk properly with an injured ankle. He only gets to control the narrative partially. The club can wait either for it to “heal” or a substantial bid which we can live with or time will proceed to the end of the month and no satisfactory bid has arrived. He either plays for us or he doesn’t and sulks for the rest of the season, which will look really good on his CV, not! For me he needs to forget about what happened before and work his socks for the rest of the season to show us and everyone else that whatever happened before was not his fault. Players who try and control the club they were only too pleased to sign only go so far. I have no evidence he and Hughes had a massive fall out, but he is not here now. The fans and the current manager have nothing to do with what happened. The club have no choice as to who they have to side with either.

No naivety here, just not big on wild conspiracy theories.
I think the injury is somewhat irrelevant at this point because I don't believe even if he was fit and raring to go he would have been selected to play anyway!
Let's just say the injury is a convenient factor at this moment in time.
Without Alexander seeing him in training, coupled with a significant drop-off in results, there's no way he was getting picked. Whilst that is the case why on earth would we prejudice any potential windfall from a sale?

If he was not conveniently 'injured' why else would GA not select the leagues 2nd top goalscorer?

He may well do, that remains to be seen but the ultimate decision will be down to the club and not because Jake feigned or truly did have an injury!

Because as he's said many times, that's not his way of doing things. As long as the team's performing they keep the shirt, along with their effort in training, which is something else he won't have had the chance to see.

    Hope I'm wrong
But I think there's more chance of Jimmy Young (one for us oldies)
Playing for us than Jake Young
