What happens if he doesn’t want to stay and earn his place in the 18? Then what? . Once that’s answered your last sentence is perfectly valid.

Then it will be up to GA to earn his crust and convince him that he is wanted and valued.

Nothing to worry about when Young is sold next week for the famous undisclosed fee,I’m sure we can rely on Stephen Gent to come up with some great replacement from the Premier league under 21s. After all he got us Costello,Nevers, Bola, Tulloch, Afoka so what could possibly go wrong.

Because its not an isolated incident. Off hand, East, Young, Oliver, all brought in on long term contracts and hardly featured. I'm not talking about the fact that Young, in isolation, had a falling out, I'm talking about the fact that long term contracts were given to players who weren't then actually played, or who didn't fit the system. Sign young player, give him 3/4 year deal, hardly play him then send him out on loan where he shines, sell him cheap. Its classic Bradford City.

The disrupter in the club was clearly not Young he just had the impatience of youth. A poor manager and a very weak CEO in Sparks not taking control made a minor mole hill in to a mountain. Sparks should appologise to Young for his lack of management ability and then Young and the club can move on together to get the club out of this division

People passing comment on what I think are wide of the mark. I think Young is a flash in the pan we will take him back and probably pay him off in the summer. I see Swindon fans are far more concerned about losing Kemp. League one teams will only pay what he is worth a gamble for them.
Not a lack of ambition more a lack of faith in the ability of Young

What was Sparks involvement or otherwise, this is a new one?

Apologise to Young my arse. IF he said what was claimed to have been said , he could have been dismissed from his contract forthwith. No decent manager would have a disruptive employee hanging around, the fact you might says a lot to me, either you have never managed a team of staff or honestly you are misguided.

Don’t mistake this for supporting anyone or BCAFC, we don’t know what went on for fact so why make things up?

And he refuses, through 1 on 1 or mediation to be convinced and earn his crust? What would you do with him?

Maybe you lack management expertise at a higher level but as the working head of the club Sparks had the overall responsibility for all managemnt of all areas of the club. The fact he seemed to not get involved and let Hughes have his way and getting rid of Young even if it hurt the club shows his lack of management skills. Good management is about controlling events not ignoring them and allowing a manager to seemingly manage the club with no control over him is a weakness
BTW you seem to like accusing others of making things up. It is often untrue and your way of answering replies you do not like. Am sure you can do better with a little effort

Don't forget as well as sending Young out on loan we also sent Kian Harrat back who was good enough for the Championship under Warnock.

Lack Managerial Experience at higher level! If you only knew.

Back to the question , where is the evidence to substantiate this?

That’s masking the real reason, a tad disingenuous , but hey don’t let facts get in the way.

I agree Trevor. Sparks would have had to ok the send of Young to another club. Yes the lad snapped and insulted the manager. However, MH should have taken a breath or two and dealt with it or fine the player. Then the next thing he should have done was reflect on why the lad was so frustrated. We have seen how many if not all the squad has responded completely different to GA. That tells me that MH was behaving like billy big balls; yes he had the career to back it up, but not in management he didn’t.
As a manager you need a pragmatic head on. Yes voicing your opinion to a manager publicly was wrong, but what followed was bad for the player and bad for the club, it was all about MH.

Wasn’t there anyone at our club who could have had a word. Talent like Young need nurturing not damping down. All strikers come across as arrogant it is what drives them. He needed a little slap not a great big boot up his backside. In football as in life it’s about finding a way to get on with ppl even though you may differ.

The ability of Young, when played as a striker, is plain and obvious. All youve seen is bit part cameos and some starts from the wing - 18 months ago under a manager that couldnt get the best out of him.

Kid is older, wiser and stronger now and probably brimming with confidence.

The negativity surrounding the return of the leagues top scorer, who is just 22 and with 30 months left on his deal is absolutely baffling.

Harratt was sent back because he was a Twit who was lucky to avoid prison.
