We could be easily be within a couple of points come Saturday evening ..........Walker wont be far off ........Jake Young on his way back a lot more positives than negatives for me

We were shocking today and to be honest neither side deserved to win. Had an inkling that we might struggle with Walker out as he was pivotal to what we did going forward. Luckily neither Wimbledon or MK Dons won or we'd have been 8 points behind the last playoff spot with our poor goal difference.

The quality of our set pieces is the glaring thing for me. Smallwood ,must be taken off them asap, we rarely threaten.
I am hoping for a good ball playing midfielder in before next week. Crawley wont be easy and showed Jake Young and Swindon that today.

Do you mean we could win at home ?........that'll be a rarity, seem to be forever walking up VP at full time after yet another loss or a disappointing draw ...

Your predictions on Smith and Walker scoring no more than 4 each was amazing.....

I think the most disappointing thing about today is, we appeared to have put this type of no show behind us under GA.
Crewe were there for the taking, but we reverted to old habits, hopefully just a blip.
Lets hope we come out of the January window with a much leaner but better quality squad. Too many also- rans drawing a wage they do not earn.

£27 to watch inept officials ruin a game of football.
Today was a right off from the first kick of the ball.

Sorry foghorn, it was a pen all day long. We got caught out on the break and JT did touch him.

We just didnt play football and missed Richards. I think our own inadequacies beat us, personally, not the man in the middle.

    we can be better

Numbers might be wrong but I can tell you with a great degree of certainty they’re goals how many they score will not get us out of this league!!! It’s really simple the main club objectives are on route for failure again!!!

Smallwood deserves stick today, but how many free kicks was Cook offside for?

    His performance today was pathetic

Not sure how you can blame the officials. If it was a stonewall penalty and we were lucky Tomkinson wasn't shown a yellow card for it. We were at fault for losing today, nobody else. The referee wasn't the one constantly misplacing passes and booting the ball up the pitch to nowhere, the referee wasn't the one making Cook be offside. Cook was also very lucky not to be shown a yellow card after the disallowed goal for dissent.

Walker is a good player and links midfield with attack, unfortunately the way he charges around the pitch, he will always pick up injuries or bookings. His obvious replacement Pattinson being injured as well is really unfortunate. Most teams would miss either of those players.

Most teams would recognise thats walkers style, and not recruit in his position someone who has had serious injury concerns. You know you are going to lose Walker, why risk it with another player with injury records.
It’s this club in a nutshell no real plan or preparation just make do!!!

I agree it was frustrating, but they gave their all. When I see red is when they don’t and we have had a few of them over the years. Chill.

You can't have it both ways, you say "Both Cook and Smith offered little today chasing "The Hoof" then say we dismantled our strike force, Alexander was never going to take Cook off so it was always going to be Smith but he didn't make the change until the 61st minute.
Without doubt our set pieces were poor, I've championed Pointon when I've seen him play but we have had this 6 game unbeaten record without any input from Pointon so I can see where Alexander was coming from, he's openly said he won't change a winning side for the sake of it.
Most know what Walker brings to the team but unfortunately it's taken the last three results to prove it, I had hopes of Odour upping him game and maybe filling that gap until Walker came back unfortunately that hasn't been the case, but IMO the reaction to today defeat is way OTT, after their penalty there was only one team going to score even with our poor performance unfortunately the chances we made we could not take advantage of, who's to say we won't go on another 6 game unbeaten run like we just done.
Bad day at the office but nothing that we cant put right against Crawley next Saturday.

Pattinson had played 77 games with 18 goals in his 2 season's of Harrogate's matches . Hardly a sick note and as i said unfortunate for both to have missed so many games this season.

They were poor up front because the ball was in the air from long punts, either down the middle or from the sides . The 6-6”” defenders , no matter how poor they were, just swallowed up headed clearance after headed clearance.
It wanted to be on the deck.
