Boothroyd is from Eccleshill so im assuming he still has relatives/friends in the area that may know this Phil Bradbury.

Assuming its true, its not hard to figure out where a potential leak has come from.

10 years since he held a manager job at club level in England, its not going to be him.

I dont think that matters - he has the experience anyway......the alternative is we appoint someone who has and has failed numerous times in the last 10 years.

2nd favourite in the latest odds is out at 12/1 now. So looking like Holden or as I said yesterday someone not on the list.

Why we discussing what some Twitter/X attention seeker is saying?

However, I find Boothroyd so god dam boring. Like mega boring as a person. I just hope it’s not him.

Because nobody else has a clue and all the other names are picked out of thin air.

Its a forum fella. You discuss things.

Rather have Holden than Boothroyd. This has to have been the most underwhelming managerial hunt we've had? Since PP left, there's always been a candidate linked who'd tick most boxes.... but Jesus wept this has been just flat since day one.

Im not keen on either but Holden has achieved absolutely nothing in the game apart from failure.

He looks utterly woeful on paper.

I'm saying it is gonna be Nigel Pearson. Announced either after tonight's game, or first thing tomorrow

It is to be hoped that Sparks pulls a rabbit out of the hat, a manager currently employed by someone else, because the out of work managers list is very underwhelming and depressing

Indeed. Most on here and elsewhere are focused on 'who' will be our next manager rather than 'what' kind of manager do we need to take us forward. I don't even know some of the names being proposed but suspect that most of them will be capable of doing the manager's job, some better than others no doubt. If Rupp and/or Sparks don't have a view and a strategy for the club's future then unfortunately nobody has a context for the appointment of the manager. We have no idea what kind of manager we need longer term. It's just a continuation of our managerial merry-go-round with no sign of any strategic intent.

We'll appoint a manager. He'll spend a load of dosh rebuilding Hughes' squad in his own image until he is replaced by the next one. Until Rupp sells the club to somebody who believes in the future of our club or we fall lucky as we did with Parky, that will continue to be our future. I hope I'm wrong but I see no evidence that Rupp and Sparks have a clear view on how they see our club in the future and their decision on the next manager will reflect that.

Whoever it is, I don't see why they can't announce it this morning and say he'll be watching from the stands for tonight's game before taking the helm tomorrow. Plenty of other clubs have done something similar, and it's only the poxy cup game, not an important league game.

Just a gut feeling, nothing more than that. He left Bristol suddenly having not done anything wrong, and isn't he a northern-ish lad, Nottingham area? Not that that means much these days...but i'd certainly be happy if it was him

Normally Simon Parker rubbishes these types but he hasn’t on Boothroyd. I can’t believe it’s took us 4 weeks and this is the best we can get. Must mean we are cost cutting at a degree even I didnt expect,no other reason? He hasn’t managed a league club in 10 years.

You would think so, but this is Bradford City we are talking about. The current hierarchy are non-existent when it comes to communication with the fans, which i'm sure most of us find rather infuriating

Was thinking the same but these days, approaches always either get leaked or get published by the approached club. Unless they've managed to somehow keep an agreement and compo completely quiet? Staying silent is something Sparks is good at.

It's very uninspiring isn't it? I cant believe after 4 weeks that we have these names linked.
