Unless we are purchased by an oil rich country or a bored US £Billionaire , we will stay where we are. Even then, the cheapest option is buy the ground from the Flamingo pension fund.
It just won’t happen Park, we have to be realistic..

I know we are craving success but moving grounds in the hope that we win more games seems very desperate. I don't see how it makes us a better team. We move grounds half of the season (away games) and we are still stuck in league 2.
As for moving to Odsal. I have mixed feelings about it. If (and it's a hell of an if) the ground was developed to a high standard and if we paid a peppercorn rent that would allow a bigger playing budget then I might be up for it.

Do you think those hollow pricks should have just kept going then regardless, instead of saying you know what, Eff you all which is what most rightly did.

They were sick of folk coming in making a quick buck and then fecking off again. Year after year sometimes game after game been asked to put your hand in your pocket for this and phone a hotline to donate that. Jesus Christ I lost count of the number of times Lesley vainikolo or someone washed my car for tenner.

It wasnt also 15k that walked away it was roughly half that, the rest was made up for free kids tickets which accounted for a lot of the crowd in the late 90s.

That will happen to city soon enough aswell, with free kids tickets or junior tickets accounting for around 5k of the ST solds. Once people stop falling for the same shite week on week ,year in year, prices have to go up and folk stop going. When they stop, then so do the kids. That actual ST figure sold number will still drop.

Oh and by the way, I'm sure us non hollow pricks who occasionally frequent odsal will enjoy the championship, I hope you do the same in league one or which SL reserve league you end up in

Forgive my naivety , but Bradford City moving to a redeveloped ground and only paying a
“ Peppercorn “ rent? How does that work?
    .
Who pays the mortgage/loan on the ground redevelopment when the main user is contributing
only a “ peppercorn “ rent? Who pays off the sum spent on the redevelopment with interest at 5% .

So the council overlords have almost bankrupt the city, spending more on children's services alone, than they bring in from council tax.
Re develop Odsal, they cant even clean the drains around the city.

    Clean the streets, what's that.
My road is a narrow rural lane in the Thornton area, never seen a street cleaner, the drains are blocked solid with leaves and when it rains , the water comes down the road like Niagra falls , oh and 5 out of the 10 street lights don't work with 2 completely missing, reported on numerous occasions. Still not certain what i get for my band d council tax.

You get your bins collected within reason (the lads can’t walk two steps) street cleaning is a myth (goes under the all our yesterdays) gulleys and drains can be cleaned, but only when there is 1ft of water on the Bridge and the traffic is backed up to Thornton, oh well go on then we clean the gully’s. £176 per month you are also paying for children’s services and the elderly, police and fire service.

The National Rugby League own the lease for Odsal and nothing will happen without permission from them or the lease been bought from them. If they agree to development they would want a cut of the revenue

We do not even get the bins collected regular, especially in winter, when it drops cold and all the rain water freezes and the road becomes a sheet of black ice, my 4 wheel drive just about manages to get up and down the hill , bin wagon no chance.
It is fun though watching all the idiots try in their Golfs, Ford Ka and other makes, only then having to abandon them until the thaw, no chance of a gritter!

The stadium is still owned by Bradford City Council, but due to financial problems the Rugby Football League purchased the leasehold in 2012.
