I'm not sure John but as many have said several football clubs host both rugby and football.

This is The Bulls you are talking about. They expect everything to be free.

That could be true, but they deliberately made it difficult for stock cars to return by removing the safety fences, and from what I've read, selling the scrap steel.

But that wasn't the Bulls as a club, it was unscrupulous people behind the scenes that led to these sort of decisions. The same sort of folk we've had at City over the years.

It was the owner, and the owner is effectively the club.

I was always under the impression it was the Iestyn Harris debacle that sent them out of business.

Not sure about the ins and outs but I believe at the time Caisley said the agreement Leeds had with regards Harris's contract didn't hold water, yet as you say they had to give the Rhino's a substantial amount, hes what Caisley said :
Caisley dismissed as a “perpetuated myth” the idea that the Harris saga had been a major contributory factor in a slide which has seen the club fail to make the play-offs for the past three seasons.

Yes, Rhino's had a contract clause which gave them first opportunity to bring Harris back to RL, I believe.
Bulls ignored it and it cost them.

The Harris issue was the start of the Bulls demise Dave, but then they had some disastrous owners like the man who had the bed company who’s name I’ve forgot, Omar Khan and Gerry Sutcliffe, Mark Green and then the Aussie who took them to Dewsbury. Then all their loyal fans deserted them in droves. City with all our faults are a model of ownership compared to the ramshackle owners over the years at Odsal.

Maybe we are so bitter and twisted due there hollow fan base going missing when the shizzer hit the fan

Maybe we are bitter and twisted due to them yet again wanting the council to bail them out yet again

They had there time and money to redevelop that slum during the late 90s and did nothing about it.

They wanted the move back to Ideal in the 2000s so let them enjoy that rundown slun

My late father worked for Bradford council Recreation department. Odsal stadium was part of this, not sure if true , but he told me the peppercorn rent the Bulls paid for use of the stadium was £1 per week.
They then got a £250,000 loan a few years back, under Gerry Sutcliffe and Omar Khan's ownership and its still unclear what sort of interest was charged, if any or if the loan was ever re paid.
The Bulls have been in the council tax payers pockets far too much over the years, Either stand on your own 2 feet or give it up as a bad job.
    NO MORE HAND OUTS.

Not really or the folk who actually know me say different but I do apologise if I don't share your views about the parasite club up Manchester road

You remember our admin years when the council stood back and did nothing for us while handing the Bulls millions you recall that.

Hollow fan base who deserve nothing but expect everything.

Name me a club that doesn't have, in your words, a hollow fan base?

    I'll wait.

Not as hollow as that lot thanks :)

Maybe if the hollow pricks kept on going through the bad times then they wouldn't be in this mess.

Still sorry if I don't share your views that a fanbase of 4k deserve a nice new ground yet a club that is pulling in 4 times that and being money into the City deserve nothing.

Just answer the question, its not a hard one. I'm one of those fans you mention as hollow. But lets go back to the mid nineties, the days of cougarmania, the likes of Andy Eyres, Nick Pinkney, smoking Joe Grima, the rest of that fantastic squad built on money the club never had. Crowds in the thousands rather than hundreds. Where are they all now eh? eh?

The same cougars who where denied a place in super league due to there ground ?????
The same cougars who I'm sure come under the same council as the Bulls back then now I wonder if they got the same funding as the Bulls????

Btw the Cougars have put plans in to build a new stand amazing what can be achieved once you stop begging.

As for the Cougars crowds I doubt there crowds dropped by 15k once it went all wrong.............. the Bradford folk know what the Bulls are about the whole of rugby knows what they are about a club that thinks it can sit there and get handouts rather than working for a solution.

Fill the shithole in and let's have done with it
