I think Walker being out will be more of a miss than people expect.

Whilst I agree his form is just middling, he is actually the one from the front three that usually dictates/starts the press and that I think is underappreciated. Though he is usually blowing after an hour anyway...!

He’s definitely been more involved in the few matches since McDonald took over.
Admittedly he’s not at the level most thought he would be,but he’s still one of our biggest threats up front.

Agreed, IF we can get a decent result tonight I can see our new manger in place by Friday and I don’t think we will have to look far;). God forbid we lose, then it could be much longer?

Thought the same when I read it and like the use of 'we'. Some players never really use that word and speak about the club in the third tense, 'it's a big club' rather than 'we' re a big club' etc. Always makes me feel more connected to a player when they do that.

There is no doubt, they will be up for this, first game at home under a new manager.
We need to be at it from the off.
Too close to call in my book, but i hope i am wrong and we smash them. Never liked the way they came into existence , when other clubs have to earn their way through the football system.

I'm finding your post hard to understand. Are you saying that you'd move Pointon inside? Who would you play out wide in his place then? Sounds like you're saying Chapman and Oyegoke would be on the bench?

Probably saying play Wilson or Odour on the right, Bobby in at 10 , left keep Osadebe?

Hopefully, young Jeffreys gets another outing, this time in the league. He's certainly better than Osadebe. Two goals isn't going to change the fact that overall, he's not good enough for this club

Pointon going for the cutback was a sign of intelligence in his play. He was actively looking to set up a teammate, as most wide players do in the top European divisions. Most lower league players would have smashed it at the keeper, but young Bobby showed more about his football brain at this moment

With respect Dimitri I disagree. You can't have had the view that we did. Normally I would agree that a pull back across would be the percentage option (eg what McMahon should have done against Millwall at Wembley ), but the angle wasn't super tight and he had a full view of the goal with no players other than the goalie in his way. He should have taken the shot. He's young so hopefully that confidence will come.
Forgot to add that also there didn't appear to be a team mate in the clear.

Freddy Jeffreys. Came off bench at Grimsby?

I don’t think he’ll feature myself. This is a tough game, despite their league posi. Wilson in for Walker and Pointon playing as a 10.

Kev coming into CDM in place of Smallwood. That’s a safe and sensible XI.

I think he's contender for player of the season tbh.

In our poorest games he was the one grabbing the game by the scruff and getting us at least a point.

Didn't go to Wrexham and have seen him have average games plenty of times, but overall Walker has been good this season.

The biggest miss tonight is Smallwood been our best player in recent matches. Think we might struggle tonight

Welcome to Milton Keynes…. yes it is a bit of a soulless place. Interesting concept behind the town, but I wouldn’t like to live here!
