Doesn't he know Cook's always overweight.....until he bangs in his next hat-trick.

My immediate reaction too, notice how he’s picked up on the comments made on the forum since the game , chucked em all in a few paragraphs and all of a sudden becomes an “independant” observer.

Bets he joins every forum in the divi and does the same?

    Lonely soul;)

Not biting, that's so sad posting on an oppositions forum to get a rise, he claims to be 41 years of age.

You’re right, we only looked a threat from your mistakes. You must’ve made 24 mistakes to our 8. But you can call it how you like.
As for pens - you can have your pen, and we’ll have the blatant handball late on
FWIW, you were the quietest 2600 away fans I’ve heard.
In fairness you’re right about the home fans, the lack of atmosphere at our home games is embarrassing at times. We should be making it hostile and a cauldron but it’s more like a library

Thing is though, if you were a neutral, and basing it on that game only, you might draw the same conclusion comparing Cook to Mullin. Though he seems to ignore the fact that Mullin was lucky to stay the full 98 minutes after that first booking for that horrendous tackle (or maybe "thats what a proper striker does" )

Cook was fat and finished last year when he scored 30 goals. I'm not sure he or anyone else gives a shit about his belly but thanks anyway.

Strange how their two CD were happy to batter Cook, exactly what I would have expected our two to do with Mullin are we too nice.
Even with all his throwing himself about he wasn't under the same pressure Cook was which disappointed me up to a point, imagine under Parky an opposition player coming back from a Mullins injury McArdle and Davies would have had a field day.

VAR has done more harm than good. Goalline tech is great, that should stay. And there's maybe some form of system whereby its used to assess straight red cards or not - but even then its a minefield. Or maybe there's very limited use of VAR being used to assess whether something is inside or outside the box for a pen. But the majority of its current use should be scrapped.

I think your assessment of us in making the playoffs is fair actually. We need 3 or 4 quality signings. But I have to say, I was massively underwhelmed by your lot. You created nothing and took to falling over at every chance you got. For the money you've spent, you're falling well short and I've seen several better teams already this season. Maybe you're still adjusting. good away following in terms of numbers, but not volume. Grimsby made much more noise with fewer fans.

Definitely keep it for “matters of fact”.
I think they’ve got every “over the goal line or not” decision right this season which is the most important part of VAR.
    Was a goal scored?
    Yes or no.

Unfortunately most other decisions are subjective and the VAR getting involved is just the opinion of another ref.

This “clear and obvious error” wording needs looking at as well.
It seems to be only when it suits.
Saturdays game at Anfield produced the biggest “clear and obvious error” by a ref that you’ll see all season when Konate didn’t get a 2nd yellow card for the most blatant foul you’ll see.

Apparently VAR can only get involved with incorrect red cards and can’t show the ref his potential error if it’s a yellow.
Might as well not bother then if you can only correct certain decisions.

In theory VAR is a good idea.
In practice it’s shown to be far from it and has in fact produced more confusion and doubt in fans minds when they see obvious errors made week after week.

Goal line technology has also had some major errors like the Sheffield United vs Aston Villa game and from that every single time the goal line technology gives a goal or it is close the VAR check it to avoid them errors like in a Brentford game just before the international break. If VAR was scrapped you can guarantee there will be decisions given wrong and the noise changes to "if we had VAR that would have been corrected". VAR is here to stay and people need to accept it, like everything it will get better over time as it is still new to the game. It will take time to get officials used to being VAR and training up specialist VAR officials as it is a completely different skill and mindset to being a referee. Once the technology is improved for semi automated offside it will not only help speed up the game but takes a bit of pressure off VAR.

Wrexham fans have been bizarrely obsessed with pointing out how quiet VP was. Almost like they don't like the fact they're not the big fish in the pond anymore and have to play up now they've seen a big crowd. Very odd.

Even though VP has been quiet for a while now compared to a few years ago.

Wrexham are all giving it now johhny big bollocks after really, doing nothing, after umpteen years in non league where they probably would have been forever if not for the pretty screen boys. I’ve always had a bad taste for anything that is bought, whether it’s friendship or in this case football. “You’re only here for the Wxm”. Really. I don’t think so. They suddenly think they are big shots after a lifetime of nothing. Get excited yes, and enjoy the ride, but don’t rub people up by mouthing off. I’d imagine people are already waiting for the wheels to fall off.

Cook doesn’t look as washed up as Steven Fletcher. Justin Fletcher would offer more goal threat.

I did not understand why your CBs insisted on playing out from the back when about six times you passed it straight to our midfield.

Mullin is a great player at this level but it’s easy to see why you struggled when he punctured his lung. Ollie Palmer is a useless lump! Mendy who came on looked poor too.

I hoped we’d test your keeper - who looks like he has a mistake in him.

Barnett looked decent - put some great balls into the box and Mullin should have buried that sitter of a header he put wide.

bit surprised to see a Parky side so sloppy at the back but still think you’ll be up there when he sorts those CBs out.

we overran you in midfield and both teams should have had two pens each, but I think Parky should be the happier of the two bosses with a point, given that late scramble somehow went wide, when we had momentum.

Their keeper reminded me of the between sticks version of Bambi on ice. Remember that shot from Walker in the second half that got deflected towards the corner of the goal. He seemed to go down in 4 stuttering stages to scramble it away? Honestly didn’t rate them all that much and if we had played them 10 games down the line with our missing players returned and a settled side I could see us giving them a right tanking. As it was, their back four or was it five , were all over the place. They knew they had to mark Cook but forgot about the rest. As a result they were all over the place. Middle of the pitch they were non existent other than McClean chucking himself about.
