Got it in one. You just need to read the thread on here to see how a Twitter rumour became fact.
And people actually believe it . New manager, new owner by next Sunday. FFS, give me a break.

 

We shouldn’t be worrying about paying compo for a league 1, 2 or non league manager.

I agree though with the main point of the owner and Sparks need more help when it comes to football side of things.

It's all about opinions.

I don't see any need to pay compensation to take a manager from another club. There are excellent options currently unemployed.

Danny Cowley is better than, not only what you have, but anyone else out there.

Kevin McDonald has done a good job; I expected him to. I'm grateful to him as I've backed you to win all three matches. But we all know about "the sacked manager/new manager bounce". Let him return to his playing role with, perhaps, some coaching duties under the new manager.

 

I'm struggling to work out what the real big issue is. Be disappointed but protest?? That's a tad over the top reaction in my eyes.

 

You really seem to be pushing Danny Cowley . Are you him, his brother or another family member.
For what it is worth, he could be as good or bad as any of the candidates mentioned. As i said in another post, appointing a manager is like buying a ticket for the lottery. Very few people actually win big.

You get the best man for the job. Can’t be thinking about the cheap option. Now nothing wrong with having some on the shortlist and if they interview well, drive and ambition then great give them a chance but if you think a manager is better suited to us who is at another club then go out and get him.

 

I've given my reasons for advocating the Cowleys' case in previous posts, some in this thread and some in the "Hughes Sacked" thread.

Nothing is certain in football. The Cowleys could be appointed and flop. After all I thought Adams would be a success with you and that didn't end well. But appointing a manager is a lot less random than buying a lottery ticket. I never buy lottery tickets but I do back managers.

Appoint the Cowleys and I'll be backing Bradford City.

 

Now Rangers and Sheff Weds have appointed their managers, surely it opens up other avenues as to managers that were linked to those jobs to probably come onto our list. John Eustace could do a brilliant long term job here.

 

Agree Jab88, Eustace would be a cracking appointment although I doubt that we'll be in for him.
Rumour has it that BetVictor has suspended all bets on the next appointment.
Perhaps they know something we don't!!!!

 

They did it last weekend with Gillingham then put them back up. I'd say now the two bigger roles have been filled, we should wait now we can cast our net out a bit further to maybe someone who wanted the Sheff Weds/Rangers job who was unsuccessful.

 

We shouldn’t be interested in big names we need someone who knows the lower leagues and realises that especially in this league it what you do off the ball is as important as what you do on it.
We also need to foster what Big Mac has done for team spirit. It’s a big decision for Sparks if he appoints McDonald and we lose a couple the usual suspects will be on his back. And if he appoints from the shortlist and we lose a couple the same people will again be on his back

 

im just greatful we won't appoint stuart "fraud" mccall. hopefully we forget about him forever now. big fraud!

 

Make of this what you want but I've just messaged the BetVictor chat to ask if the market will be reopened and their response was "I have just been informed that the market is closed at the moment, as there are rumours that the job is already assigned."
