His stats are rubbish everywhere except Celtic where he had a 70% win ratio,but you’d have to be a poor manager to have a bad win ratio at Celtic. He has a terrible record at Bolton, I think we need to pass on both him and Scott Brown who had a poor time at Fleetwood.

Makes me laugh our fanbase sometimes, just take a look through the forum and every time a name is mentioned someone pops up within minutes saying over my dead body, not at my club, don't want him here or he's useless.

It's an absolute joke, we have had 26 managers in 23 years, we are beyond the stage where we can be picky or risk upsetting someone based on behaviour, race, religion, gender or the fact they haven't had a promotion.

Get me someone to get us out of this bloody league, I couldn't care less who it is

They loved him as a player. As a manager he was the one that chucked the 10 in a row. They hated his tactics and couldn't wait to get shot of him.

Not sure it's fair to say Scott Brown had a poor time at Fleetwood. He took over a team that finished 20th the season before to 13th with a few very good wins including the double over Peterborough and 4 points from the games vs Plymouth. They also had a run to the FA Cup 5th round beating QPR and Sheffield Wednesday on the way then losing 1-0 to Burnley in the 90th minute. He had a bad start to this season with 1 point from 6 games but every manager at this level will have had a spell like that at some point.

 

Also, a lot of upheaval at Fleetwood with the owner getting banged up.

 

His lack of respect for our club was blatant. Now he needs a job he comes knocking. Plus his CV is not that wonderful but no doubt he will be bulling it up. This fan remembers very well this man’s contempt and lack of respect for our club and fans I can’t remember whether he even apologised. Furthermore appointing a manager does not come with a cast iron guarantee regardless of how big they think they are.

 

Clearly you think Lennon is a goer on that basis?
Don’t be shy …say so, rather than having a pop at those who disagree?

 

I'm not having a pop at those who disagree, I'm just saying no one is ever happy with who is the current favourite or current rumour.

I don't care who gets it anymore, it's total groundhog Day every time these threads come around. it just makes me a laugh that any suggestion just gets poopoo'd as they say.

Evans - oh no, pervent
Lennon - catholic bigot
Wellens - failed at Donny and Salford
Cowley's - poor football, failed at Portsmouth
Wild - small club mentality
Redfearn - never in a month of Sunday
Carbone - never managed in England
Williamson - never heard of him
Richardson - sacked by Wigan, useless
Scott brown - sacked by Fleetwood, useless

These are just some examples of what you read on here or twitter.

Guess what, all the available managers are here and available because they failed elsewhere, the majority of good managers have a job, because simply, they are good.

We, as fans cannot be picky. Whoever the club employ will upset someone or be someone we disagree with. it's the nature of the beast, but quite simply we are running out of options.

Our last six permanent managers (I think) all have had some success at lower league level in England and Scotland, and Hughes overachieved at the smaller PL clubs he managed.

It goes beyond who is sat in the dugout on a Saturday afternoon.

It doesn't matter who I want, you want, onside wants or what bloody ken dodd would have wanted, we will get who one person seems suitable and thats it unfortunately.
