I agree with you @Faithful Bantam on that and said so in my previous post.

The injuries don't condone Hughes playing a slow, risk averse pattern of play that doesn't suit the players he has available.

 

I don't feel I'm reaching but I'm not dying in a ditch to prove my point. It's fine, we disagree.

 

Harrogate by far the worst team to come to VP in a long time. And they were beating us right to the death

Absolutely abysmal display from a team of no hopers. Not one of them comes out of that game with any credit. Not a single one of them

I said on deadline day that this squad is weaker and has much less attacking threat than last seasons squad, but I never thought I’d be proven right this quick

And that's one of the problems.Some of the players just aren't good enough,and that's going to be the case for the rest of the season.

 

Overall, the recruitment has (again) been dire.

 

We havent got the time to mess about, with 15000 fans committed now is not the time to waite and hopefully things will change IMO it wont, incidentally with Rupp been here today I'd like to be a fly on the wall in the director's room after the match.

 

We are not a good side. I can deal with that. But when you have an equal amount of money or lots more than sides we play, and they spank us on the park it’s terrible….Harrogate are poor. I bet even Sutton would play us off the park home and away.

Problem is, it's basically all over.

Hughes failing is the end of hope.

Sparks isn't recruiting a better manager.

We're toast.

Could be a few things.
1. It's his regular as clockwork 1 game every couple of years.
2. In the area/country on other business.
3. In the area on material business relating to the club.
4. Asked by Sparks to attend to witness the drivel that's on display because a sacking is on the cards.

Well if we are talking relegation the club is finished Jon IMO thats how serious this is

 

I've been critical of Hughes for a long time but it must be obvious to anyone that we aren't going to be promoted this year with him in charge. So what can we possibly gain by sticking with him for one game longer? His football is dire, our recruitment has been abysmal, his record as a manager is terrible, he's got the charism of a dead tortoise and he's clearly not got the confidence of the players. What more do you need?

 

I’d be worried if I were Sparks, not that I think he’ll get sacked like. But he’s cost the owners business god knows how much money in having to pay managers off in his tenure, if I’d cost my company even a fraction of that sort of money I’d be shitting it every time I spoke with the owner. Especially when he turns up and sees that sort of incompetence on Sparks’ watch yet again.
