Someone from Bradford City could have a word with Someone at Bury to find out how they managed to do it, while they are doing that they could have a word with Getafe FC and their Commentators .

I think a lot of clubs stream their friendlies these days, or at least some of them. We got to watch the Sunderland last season, Huddersfield the season before and as above the two so far this season.

Unfortunately we’re still behind on things like this, even if it just cost the same as a match ticket I think it would be worth it.

 

The vast majority of clubs who stream preseason friendlies are the ones that have the infrastructure in place for streaming through their own platform whereas we use iFollow so we don't have that platform

 

We’ve had games streamed at BPA and Bury. Plus every game is shown on iFollow. Sorry but if them two clubs can do it without the same finance/standing then there’s no excuse.

 

Not sure about infrastructure, thought it was more a case cannot be bothered.

Will there be a pay on the day against Hull City friendly ?

 

Most likely the case. Talk of infrastructure is a nonsense as you have young bloggers who can stream a match on their phone, let alone a football club that already has infrastructure from iFollow and has a turnover of near £10 million.

 

Bury put a great you tube stream on a lot better picture than I follow. Avenue put one on against us a couple of seasons ago.
Suspect they want people to attend in person hence no coverage

 

Especially now everyone knows most the first team will be playing today against Bolton, makes sense not to stream it to get as many tickets sold for the game as it will likely be reserves and kids playing at BPA.

 

Bury only decided to stream the match after it was sold out and they did it for free so they got no money for it. BPA also did it when capacity was limited and it was sold out using an external company who they used during covid, they didn't stream last years match and no sign of tomorrows being streamed.

 

A change of stance from us not having the infrastructure. I wouldn’t expect it to be free, but as Kev said there will be people who live a decent distance away who would pay for it. Those that want to go still would if there was no financial saving.

 

They're nowhere near selling out. There isn't limited availability in any of the blocks..

 

Infrastructure is still a reason why we don't stream matches. We don't have an available platform to stream and charge so if we streamed it would have to be free on YouTube and that will just lose the club money. We would also need to get commentators in, it's a lot of work with very little benefit. The game against Hull will be live on their streaming platform Tigers+ so if people really want to watch it they can watch it on that

 

Little bit annoying that.

Hopefully we do name at least some first team players, since, you know, we've bought tickets without knowing about any Bolton game.

Agreed. We normally put a decent side out at BPA and it’s usually well attended.

 

Agreed but they need to work on the new defensive line up. A good team in Getafe cut us open time and time again and Bolton scored 5. I know these games are about fitness but they are also about tweaking formations and leaking goals isn’t good
