Agree Kevin. Said it recently PP is semingly paving the way for an exit. After the Williams episode it emerged Wrexham had been used as well as us and PP came out and said recruitment was 'tough' due to players demands. In as many hints he was blaming Reynolds for bulling up their prospects on the back of spending big. Echoes of Boehly at Chelsea and the new Yanks at Gills. Problem is if Wrexham aren't top by the end of September PP will be gone and Wrexham's slide will start we shall see.

Everyone expected Stockport to start well, they didn't. Same when Salford came up. Although looking at the sides, this Wrexham side is better than what Stockport had this time last year or when Salford came up. But there is always that bedding in period when just random results will come up and they will struggle, regardless of what they spend.

Wonder if Wrexham will go for Hughes if PP does get the boot? He said on TV before that Wrexham was his boyhood club. He'd have the 'a name in the game' recognition that their project is aiming for too.

Hughes only has 1 year left so if PP did go then that is a possiblity. I wonder if we would go for PP if he was available and we needed a manager?

I do think PP has some credit in the bank. That first season he didnt get them promoted and survived. As long as they are 'there or there abouts' he will be Wrexham manager IMO.

As Williams and Pattison have proved…..They don’t agree…money is NOT everything. Family circumstances make me believe Pattison thinks all his Xmas’s have come at once. 3 years of certainty, no move for him and his family, a settled lifestyle, still amongst one’s friends, really is a no brainer. We moved to the other end of the country….It’s hard trust me. Very hard.

Sorry mate his stats don't lie either, as I say if he comes I hope he proves me wrong but he's been around now for several years mostly on loan and as I posted only the once has he hit double figures.

As I posted fans seem to be basing their opinion on the one game at Crewe, but your right we do need someone to help out up top, that's if Hughes plays two together.
This is not a pop at yourself but having pace means nothing without an end product be that goals, crosses or assists, we'll have to wait and see.

How many times have we recruited players who “ have had a belter” against us, and turned out to be a damp squib? Caution is the watchword here!

There must be reasons why Conor has never stamped his name at one club, so far Salford look his best fit, this is a guy who when I've see him caused us problems there's no doubting his ability but as I say whys he had so many clubs and not settled at one.

But he plays it well in the games I've seen, his footballing talent suggests to me he should be playing at least league One level but for some reason he can't nail a club down, I first saw him at Oxford then Fleetwood and thought he'd go on to better things but at 30 its looks like League Two will be where he plays the remainder of his footballing career.

He certainly showed it against us at Valley Parade but in the correct way scoring goals, his free kick was straight off the training ground.

At Fleetwood he had some attitude issues from memory, think he was loaned out once or twice. I was once in Manchester airport waiting for my flight to work in summer 2018ish from memory and the Fleetwood squad were in the terminal, flying somewhere for pre season. The squad were either sat in groups chatting or sat together having a coffee around the little terminal area in T3, I was sat having a costa coffee, couple of tables taken up by the Fleetwood lads.... McAleny was sat on his own, the furthest end away from the rest of the lads having a coffee with a right grump on. After about 10 minutes some coach called him over to sit with the lads, he just sat behind the lads facing the other way.

There's a talent there for sure, looks a gifted lad especially on set pieces. But he's 30 now and is suffering from not clamping down a position, so he doesn't have a claim to a shirt. Only ever started over 30 games in a season once in his career, the problem with these jack of all trades types, they are that easily to slot in everywhere that managers think they can just as easily slot them back out. Or as he can play wing, attacking mid or striker he's a better bench option to change a number of slots.

Of course location plays a part for a lot of players, especially at this level. My point however was about the players that are happy to relocate and that get an offer from Wrexham.

It's not Kevin but another £50,000 a year and an extra £50,000 signing on fee at this level would be pretty much impossible to turn down for most I would think.

It depends on lots of factors of course, don’t forget massive amounts of that “extra” goes in tax anyway.

You should have gone over and done a McCall saying how much better he would be at Valley Parade, I prefer to judge players on what I've seen rather than fans forum although I do enjoy a sensible debate and as I posted this lad has always suggested he has plenty in his locker a shame he's not delivered on a consistent basis.

Yes 100%. As I say, from memory he's always looked a threat against us, especially with his dead balls. He's one of them who maybe at 25/26 should have said i only want to play in one of the about 4 or 5 positions he finds himself in and worked on his craft.

Having a decent run at Salford but again, finds it hard to string starts together. Given Hughes likes to rotate his attacking options, he'd probably see more of the same here and I'd guess might want more guaranteed minutes as he's probably hitting his prime now at 30.

With his ability he's certainly a player who could change games when introduced later in the game, having said that Hughes seems to prefer shoring us up defensively, let's hope with regards these late substitutions he's more positive Inthe future.
