30 appearences, not games. 22 of them off the bench. 900 minutes of league football.

Hes not taken his chance but he has been unlucky too.

And the reason for this is because he’s simply not good enough for us . He’s never taken his chances and obviously isn’t knocking on the door in training . Just like Jake young . Some of our fans think he’s the next Lionel messi . 17 appearances zero goals for barrow

Held his own in L1. I mean folk said Doyle and Vaughan werent good enough either. Hell, some say Cook isnt! Ask Mansfield fans haha.

Not given up on him or Oliver. Combined 66 appearances 7 goals last season.

Nothing to worry about next season with these 2 firing us to promotion!

 

He’s not even in the same calibre of player as Doyle or Vaughan . Both had much superior careers than the dizzy heights of gillingham

Yes time to move on now from Rom. He has made it very plain that he doesn't want to play league 2 football again.

I'm sure City will have other targets in mind, unless they stick with the 4 already here, Platt, Stubbs, Kelly and Odusina?

 

I'd imagine they'll have their eye on one more, then work on a one out one in basis in that department. Cant remember if it was on this thread or another, but as I said yesterday we should be looking for an experienced head to guide the lads we already have. Our most experienced CB at this or a higher level was Platt with 86 EFL starts. All 4 on the books are within 2 years in age of each other, rather than adding say an under 23 to the mix, I think adding a guy of similar levels of experience as to when we brought in Matt Kilgallon would be best served.

A proper senior head to teach these young lads, improved communication between them all and that includes Lewis. Maybe a guy who has been around the block a fair few times helps us not concede the amount of sloppy error goals and pens we conceded towards the end of the season when some lads were burnt out?

 

But both were written off, went elsewhere and did something!

Im sure Mansfield fans were syaing the same about Cook. Too early to write him off and he has 2 years left anyway.

In league 2 maybe it's time to give Kelly, big dominant presence and not slow either.
