This is about as bang on as you'll get. Andy Cook has saved Hughes's arse time and again this season, as has Harry Lewis. At times we've been outpassed in midfield even by the relegated sides and a team with those fundamental problems really shouldn't be getting promoted. No disrespect to Carlisle, I wish them well in the final but they ain't owt special. But the fact they were the better side in both legs, especially midfield, shows both our manager and recruitment team need to.up their game next season cos there's two new dogs in town.

Won't disagree we have finished higher up the league than last year but we haven't progressed still in the khazi league!!
MH has a lot of sorting out in his own mind to do unless Mr Sparks realises he's not a L2 manager and pulls the trigger
As you say he was out thought today and not for the first time by a lesser known manager Am not saying to get rid now but see how things stand at Christmas time Another rebuild this summer can't see Cookie staying and all loan players returning to their parent clubs leaves us thin on the ground
The lack of any football knowledge at a higher level to question some of his decisions has proven costly
We go again next season let's hope MH is wiser for his experiences

I think that is more a slight on how average we are than how good Carlisle are Keefly. That was two pretty average football sides out there today but the better side won. Well, we get to see Parky back at VP next season.

 

Banks was apparently taken off because he had run himself into the ground and his tank was empty just after beating a player and setting up a goal!!

But he won't learn. Every club he's managed has been glad to see the back of him because of his dreadful football, and we'll be no different. I didn't want to post tonight as I'm so disgusted by what I saw today and didn't want to be seen as reacting in a kneejerk way to the result, but I'm afraid to say all those of us who have been critical of our recruitment and playing style over the season have been vindicated. He's a very poor manager and if he's still with us next year we can only expect to see more of the same, which is all the more surprising because he's obviously a likeable and intelligent bloke. Until it comes to football management.

Fine margins. Frustratingly just seen the goals-WTF was Halliday doing-couldn't he kick the ball sideways and Lewis-where was he for their third? If he had stood on his line we would have been going to penalties.
