Fleetwood nor Burton would have taken the allocation Carlisle are getting.

Me too. Saw us beaten by Bolton. McGinley scored (obviously). Terrible view. Think I'd rather watch it on Sky than from there tbh.

The turnaround for the Fleetwood game was very quick if I remember. I think it was a Sunday game last game of the season followed by the play off game on the Thursday night, with the second leg on the Sunday. So by the time we kick off against Carlisle we would have already either progressed or been eliminated in prior years.

We have a full week of sales this time and an away following larger than a minibus.

Sat in their once. top tier central. view was pretty good and it felt like you were right on top of the action, facilities are poor though, but i do not go to football for the beer and hot dogs.
About 600 sold up there by the look of the ticket website.

We had to pay an extra £10 each, but still not back to our usual seats. They have given us same seats they moved us to for Arsenal game, and then the sold the tickets twice so we missed first 15 minutes whilst they found seats for us to sit in

    Millwall was a weekend game.
Burton and Fleetwood were both evening games, Thursday's I think. Plus Millwall brought fans, Burton and Fleetwood didn't so it was basically home fans only. I think we are coming off a bigger average gate this season than we had in any of those season even with the tinpot sides that make up our away ends.

With the 16/17 season we knew we were in the play offs before the last day and started selling tickets before the last day of the season I'm pretty sure which will have helped. Also both semi finals kicking off at the same time made it easier for the club and fans as the home leg was 50/50 whereas this was 3 possible kick offs with 4 different possible opponents

Thank you, will be beat the highest 19241 against Millwall , not so sure myself, 2400 Carlisle fans will help, and the atmosphere. How many times have we mocked the one man and his dog followings to VP.

I know it must be very difficult for the club trying to get everyone sorted in a few days.

Especially if they create additional chaos by moving fans from the Midland Road and rushing tickets on sale without testing that the system works properly.
    Edit
And fail to inform Season Ticket holders that their usual seats are reserved for them for 48 hours, thereby giving the impression of a free-for-all and creating a stampede for available seats on an already malfunctioning system.

You really couldn't make it up.

Not only do they think they've done nowt wrong, they are also crowing about how well it's gone. It's that sort of arrogance and complete lack of empathy with the fans affected that gets me. I'm not affected at all and got my seat without any bother but friends in the Midland Road have been and they're livid. And nothing will convince me that 'the fans at both ends' argument is anything other than a desperate afterthought when they realised they had to find some excuse for misunderstanding the regulations.

I believe the correct price IE, two senior tickets at £18 plus two suite upgrades of £8 plus web fee of £3 total price £55 so not sure where they get £56 from, never mind the £61 I've been charged

This is the reply I got from the ticket office, which is a nonsense :

    Hi Dave
That is the correct price for this game, these are the usual matchday prices for seats in the executive seats
    Kind regards.

Yet on the club's official website it states :
Admission prices - UP UNTIL 11.59PM ON SATURDAY - are as follows:

    Senior (65+): £18

    Young Person (17-23): £18

I'm in the midland road but honestly I'm really not bothered that we've had to move. It's a one off game and everyone with an ST in that area knows it's a possibility every season.

Could they have communicated it better? Absolutely but it's really not the end of the world and to address the "sitting in a group" argument, I managed to get 7 seats in block F of the MR next to each other and another 5 or 6 we sit with are just a few rows further back.

It was possible (and probably still is) to sit together in big groups, especially if people get on and book the seats rather than focusing on the negatives.
