Sparks will read that with a bit of derision..

They wanted fans at the TL Dallas Stand. The two blocks at the end don’t hold 2,000 there we are.

Can they configure the Midland Road stand any other way? Is it split on the concourse 5 blocks / 2 blocks?
If they wanted City fans in the Bradford End, this was the only option as two blocks doesn't come to 2000?

    They havent misread the rules.

Keeping the TL dallas stand and the two blocks on midland road would have been enough.

    BUT

they wanted to move the home fans to the TL Dallas stand so we are behind both goals. The only problem being that only the two blocks do not hold 2,000. Hence the moving of the blocks over. Either way they would have had to add more blocks on and it’s probably easier doing the whole 5 blocks instead of just adding one.

I am not too sure its possible it only works on that split. I don’t remember a time where it was split more. Might be to do with entrances

    So to summarise the thread.

The club think having fans behind the goal will be an advantage.
They are under the impression, rightly or wrongly, that they need to supply Carlisle with a 10% ticket allocation. The only way to achieve both is to move the away fans into blocks of the Midland Road already occupied through the season by home fans.

Let's be honest here this could have all been sorted before the Orient game with a comment on the City website from the club stating the Bradford End would be for Bradford City fans as a request from our manager who believes it would be advantageous to the team to have Bradford City fans behind both goals for such an important game, and in doing so we will have to relocate the Carlisle fans in the Midland Road Stand as we have done previously, it's hardly rocket science.

Possibly. I've not been in the Midland Road stand for a long time, so not sure how it's split. For away fans, I've seen the end two blocks or the whole thing. That would suggest the logistics for any other way are difficult.

It's totally possible that the club haven't misread the rules, they just sacrificed a few more away fans to get us behind both goals. Is it really worth the hassle?

This is where the club have come unstuck in trying to complete two tasks at the same time. We could have given them another block to accommodate but it was not necessary as they normally have the top tier of the TF Dallas stand. However, the club want both ends to be full of City fans, which I agree with but this has to be well thought through and planned rather than rushed through. Put that together and a mistaken interpretation of the rules by the club.

The end two blocks doesn't come to 2000, so that is incorrect.
If the club wanted City fans in the Bradford End, they had no other option.

They have misread the rules. Here is Ryan's 1st reply. It makes it clear that the only reason home fans are in the TL Dallas stand is because they mistakenly thought we had to provide a 10% allocation.
They have used the 2 home ends argument to sweeten the need to move.

"We have to provide our opponents with an allocation of 10% of the overall capacity, in line with EFL rules and regulations.
Given where the segregation barrier is situated, within the Midland Road Stand’s concourse, the only way to do this while using the TL Dallas Stand as a ‘home end’ is to essentially flip the traditional ‘away’ blocks of F and G with the traditional ‘home’ blocks of A, B, C, D and a part of E. This provides Carlisle with the 2,460 seats they are entitled to."

I have always thought we should have our supporters behind both goals. Our stadium layout, being very lopsided does not help the situation.

Yes, but if they can't configure the concourse like that, then it becomes irrelevant.
Obviously, they can't have Carlisle and City fans 'mingling' over a pint.

Not been in the Midland road for a few years, but there was a gate that closed off the concourse, to keep opposing fans apart and that was on the two block mark F and G

I found editting f&f to just those I wanted tickets for made it work ok. The club should put a Q&A link onto the ticketing area of the website giving advice and then they would not have to repeat it hundreds of times in emails and phone calls. They have so many ways to publish useful information at short notice. Why don't they use it?
