Success! Apparently the Staff have been working through the night to sort out the shambles and my son received an email with all the tickets changed to our original season tickets seats.

 

@Idlebantam have you checked your email? They might have sorted yours.

 

@QCFC BANTAM Overnight I have had a reply from Ryan Sparks actually quoting the wording about the allocations with the 10% highlighted, suggesting this means the club had to provide a 10% allocation.
I have replied, pointing out as politely as possible that it means we only have to provide 2,000 seats and that he has made a big mistake.
It comes to something when fans have to explain the wording of the rules to the CEO.

 

Its not his decision Queensbury. It was decided by the “ Club” with probable agreement with the Supporters board . Apologies if I misunderstood the thread yesterday.

 

Yeah, the game won’t finish until 9pm and then they’ll be kept back for 20 mins until all the home fans have gone.
No way the the police will allow opposing fans to come together where Midland Road meets Thorncliffe Road. It’ll be a blood bath no matter what the result.

Correct, it shouldn’t be required because Carlisle fans should be down the other end where it’s easier for police to manage.
I’m sure they’ll love having to walk all the way around the stadium to get back to their cars that are probably all gonna be parked towards Queens Road side. Ha

Everyone who wants a ticket will get one, yes it may not be in the seat that has moulded to their backside other the years,
Yes it could have been handled better. At the end of the day its a bloody football game and the majority of the seats have great views of the playing surface.
There are more important things in life, than who is sitting where and how they got there especially this week.

You seem to have ignored the main reason they moved to the TL Dallas stand either way.

 

I am sorry but I think that is a secondary issue. Ryan's subsequent correspondence with me clearly shows that the club were under the mistaken impression they had to provide 10% of our capacity to Carlisle.
I make no apologies for bringing this incompetence- for that is what it is to fellow fans' attention.
Ryan Sparks has got many things right, but not on this occasion.

 

You can only buy one per season ticket I believe.

I had the same issue. I deleted the f+f that i didn't need then purchased the two I required. Then re added my f+f

 

So just to summarise what I think has happened after reading through this and the away thread and to see if I am reading it correctly?

Somebody in the Club alongside a consultation with a fan or two has totally misread the rules and has decided to allocate Carlisle too many tickets. This has then led to the current allocation arrangement, which was not required as the inflated allocation could have been accommodated within the usual away areas of the ground anyway.

The additional revenue for the Club if all the extra away tickets are sold will be £14,000, divided by 5 (EFL, and the four play off clubs) = £2,900. Plus a bit of extra revenue in the MR for the beverage franchise.

And this figure needs to be balanced against policing, stewards and all the other unseen costs for the Club and fans.

The advantage being quoted is having home fans behind both goals, though again needs to be balanced against having 30% more away fans in the ground than required.

No other Club has misread the rules as such, nor thought it a good idea and have followed suit.
