Other than the magic money people where are the offers, by whom and how much Fordy?

Did you really want to be in the same position as bloody Crawley, really?

If....and it is a big IF, you are a Car Wash magnate. How many sites do you own, either outright, or on a mortgage? I anticipate you will lease/rent the land. Yes or No

No such business(man) owns the land, BiL was in the car selling business 40 years…..always rented “ plots” , he always purchased bricks and mortar . His motto.

I think it’s good scheme I really do, but it only gives us the budget we have got we never hear of that owner given additional backing. Honestly believe the club love it as it saves Rupp dipping his hands in but the calibre of player we have (bar maybe 3-4) struggle with it. Opposing players up their game, i don’t see on field benefit and that’s where it counts.

Core of the squad next season should be Lewis, Walker and Cook, with maybe Halliday, Stubbs and Gillead...not too bothered by the others..

Crawley will be better than us next season if we don't get out of this league and get a grip.

Look at the teams in league one who are struggling but have a larger fan base than us - Sheff Wed, Derby, Portsmouth, Ipswich etc. They’ve all had more recent success than us and are struggling to get out of the league above. I’d imagine the pressure at Wednesday is a hell of a lot more than Sparks and Rupp are experiencing here. I’d also imagine their facilities and turnover are way above ours. It’s not as simple as throwing money at it, otherwise those clubs mentioned would be challenging for promotion to the premiership. We’re taking tiny steps but we’ve a long way to go.

it’s a bomb at Sheff Wednesday to get in so there turnover will be massive compared to ours ............... but what did the owner do at the start ?????? He threw millions at it at the start to push for the Premier league and when it failed and FFP got involved that’s where the issues started and that’s why they find themselves in League one ............ it ain’t as simple as just throwing money at it ........... we did that in 2000 and that’s the reason we are still messing around at this level .............. Fordy can go on about folk interested in the club but until somebody actually goes public then I actually believe that nobody wants to invest in us at all

No, far from it but our club has unlined issue that it needs to address. You not seen the failure from the club over recent years? Or you ignoring it?
This is a poor league and we might not even make the play offs. Can't always be the managers fault. Sometimes you have to go deeper than that.
Crawley have had a bad season but if we don't get things right for next season then we won't again reach the heights we should be doing.

So you can’t….Just say so you can’t, instead of hiding behind an irrelevant sentence.

Christ, we haven't finished the season yet. It will be failure if we don't go up and that is down to one reason that the squad of players isn't good enough.

You only have to use Ipswich as an example of a club burning through money like water. They owed the parent owner over £117 MILLION trying to get out of the CC. Their saving grace Marcus Evans didn’t want it back and sold the club for £40million.
Taken over by three Yanks with £700 MILLION to pizz up the wall.

Bit of a daft statement that yes I believe the club has underlying issues as has nearly every other club
Dreary Derek used that as an excuse for his own failings
But that doesn't affect the way we play on the pitch
MH bemoaning the amount of injury time is nonsense we have the same amount of time to score as our opponents
look at 10 man Salford as an example we have a team capable of doing better but are being held back and hindered by negative formations/tactics and that's not down to Rupp/Sparks or off field politics
A different style of play (less cautious) would have us sitting in the Autos
Please explain how that's Rupps fault ??
MH has the squad for promotion but doesn't know how to utilise it and yes it's that simple !!

What are the issues you refer to and what makes them any different to the majority of clubs in the football leagues?

On what evidence do you use to suggest Crawley will be better than us next season

The only underlying issues i see are the pressure that comes with being the biggest club in the league (big fish small pond).

Bolton managed it but they weren't as well entrenched in this league as we are. The longer you stay the harder it is to get out.

i fail to see what else Rupp could be doing right now, he backed his people , not for the first time. He is a safe pair of hands given a rocky start to his ownership.

still at least 3 games to play before the witch-hunt needs to start :( Hopefully MH can learn and adapt , sign a few nasty never say die characters, whatever the outcome.

I highlighted that particular phrase because, yes, I think as long as he continues to back Hughes, he's doing what he can.

However, he could have done so much more up to now, in my opinion, as Hughes is the first appointment we've got right since Stuart McCall take the reins from Parkinson that first time - and I think that was just a crowd pleasing move, as much as anything, to dress the wound of Parky up and leaving.

Unfortunately hiring an inexperienced CEO wasn't a quick fix for anything, particularly given he was in charge of appointing managers. I'm not going to have a go at Sparks or Rupp at this stage, but we are where are (entrenched in this division) for a reason, and that reason ultimately is very poor leadership and chairmanship.

    Onwards and upwards (I HOPE)

12 managers in 5 years and 3 CEOs in that time. Sometimes the man at the top hiring and firing has to take the blame. Oh and we wouldn’t be in the 4th tier had he not come with his conman friend. That’s how Rupp is to blame. Obviously individual games Hughes and the players have to take the blame like on Saturday. But we were in the 4th tier when Hughes came in and the 3rd when Rupp came in, so it’s not hard to see who’s fault it is which division we find ourselves in.
