So you got three years , almost £1000's worth. £1510 divided by the remaining 22 years is £68.63 a year, so an £80 discount and you are laughing. Sort your own suite. Would that make everyone friends again.
As i said earlier, i have no gripe with the 25 year guys or the club, just find it all a bit petty. When many are struggling just to pay fuel bills.

I get where you're coming from and take your overall point. However, regarding your last sentence about fuel bills, in that light, how is it right that some people are being asked to pay 50% more for their season ticket? In that context it's even worse!

I'm sure you do find it petty Andy, considering you've lost nothing, don't have a 25 year season ticket and it in no way affects you.
Strange then that you're one of the most active posters in the thread.

Perhaps leave it to the posters that is does affect and it'll stop you worrying about any perceived pettiness or, more likely, that someone 'might' be getting something for nothing.

To me it's not really about the cash. I can easily afford to pay £180 pa for my season ticket. It's the principle of it.
Why should 25 yearers be the only group of fans to have a 50% price hike when everyone else enjoys frozen ticket prices?
Alternatively, why should 25 yearers be forced to pay £60 a season for an amenity they have no desire to use?
Either way you look at it, it's just wrong.

    It’s a really simple fix….
Charge £120 for the 25 yearers who don’t want or can’t have a suite.
Charge £180 for those that want and use a suite.

why does everything have to be more complicated than it needs to be

I have a lot of sympathy for those 25yrs who were sold a package that the club cannot honour and they have been very obliging to the club. However, I wanted to sit in the executive seats due to my husband’s back as there is more room. We didn’t realise that it is compulsory to purchase the suite upgrade. So we are in exactly the same position as the 25yrs. We are both pensioners and we are paying £688 for our season tickets. Plus if we couldn’t or wouldn’t pay we would have to find two seats somewhere else in the stadium and of stay at home.

Such a simple solution really. Why are they fudging it by forcing us to have a suite when I don’t want one.

And do you know what, I’d even pay the going rate of £197 and have the suite free / complimentary as per the official club statement

It's exactly what I suggested to Ryan Sparks in my last email. No reply, as yet.

Unfortunately for me to sit in the seat I've had since 2004 ?, I have no choice but to purchase a suite upgrade it was part of the deal I accepted.

It’s a hard one, if you want to keep your seats that are located within a suite area then you might need to embrace it and maybe use the suite even if given a choice you wouldn’t want it.
Alternatively you’d need to move into a non suite area if you want the cheaper price.

Not read all the comments but I did see a few people asking how many people use the suites that aren’t 25 yr. I would hazard a guess that a majority are not 25yr. Looking at the ticket site the other day there was less than half a dozen seats available in the suites area. Not sure how many they hold but I would say many more than 600, more like a couple of thousand. So if there are only 600 25yr left and some are Midland Road, down stairs Sunwin etc then it is down to 25% or less

I agree. There's only 600 or so 25 yearers left. I doubt that more than half of those use the suites. So I'd say it's a pretty small proportion of the regular suite clientele.
Which makes it all the more galling that we are being arm-twisted into subsidising them.

It was. The installments should have been paid over 5 years but from memory the monthly installments were cancelled early in the 5th year when the club went into Admin2, after which we subscribed to a new agreement which as been modified over subsequent years

Sorry monkey, just because i do not have a financial interest in this, does not mean i am not allowed an opinion. Freedom of speech and all that.
As i said in earlier post , i have no gripe either way, but i have also suggested that the club look at this differently.
