its not inclusive, its splitting men and women into different awards so instead of womens player of the match or mens player of the match its just player of the match. do you get me? a women could never get a "mens player of the match" nor could a man get a "womans player of the match" that's all it is. its just inclusive language.

really though, they could change it to camel of the match and I really wouldn't care either way

I'm not offended, i'm looking for a viable reason as to why they changed it from a term that didn't offend anyone? As it stands no one has come up with a genuine reason other than to throw out the word 'inclusivity'. We ain't talking terms here that could possibly be construed as homophobic or as having a racial agenda. We are talking of how some person could possibly be offended by the term 'man' being used in a game played by men. We don't have mixed football teams at professional level, so i'm pretty damn sure i'm watching 22 men on the field tomorrow when we play Mansfield tomorrow.

Basically it reads, it was changed it to use inclusive language because it wasn't previously inclusive even though it's accepted that it can never be inclusive.

your reasoning is a tad flawed, people don't have be offended for something to change, and if someone changes something on a whim then that's something you need to understand. if the FA or whoever changed it care about inclusivity that's on them. if you are really that bothered about a word change I would write to the EFL or something about changing it back.
