Looks like he had a good run in NLN. Had 18 starts in the league, mix between CB and RB, few yellows and a red. Wouldn't be surprised if a York, Gateshead, Halifax type took him on for the rest of the season but hopefully we make a clause that he needs to be playing otherwise it seems pointless to move him about.

Having a nose at free agents in midfield (I miss the days when you could see was transfer listed)
Tom Carrol, Ryan Edwards are both available as central mids, quite a few Americans too.
Wonder if with the Riasa thing it would help to bring in an American player?

 

For me these clauses and any similar should be banned. They don't do anyone any good, part of the reason of a loan move for young players is to learn and develop and part of that is making sure you perform or you'll be dropped. Also if a player is having a bad spell sometimes they need a break. If we force teams to play players who cost them points and they can't do anything about it then it probably will hurt the relationship between clubs and make them think twice before taking a player on loan from us next time.

 

Swap Angol for Ryan Seager at Dorking ex Saints Yes another striker but he’s another goal scorer .. Send Pereira back ..

 

I hope we keep Angol because he is a perfect fit with our recent change of style.

 

Well with kid from Ireland coming in Derbyshire signing and the long term injured lads coming back can we really see much getting done ????? Unless we shift a few out then I can see it being very quiet ..........

Odusina, East and Young maybe go out on loan. Perhaps we bring in another CM now we playing with 3.

Dion probably returns. Bet Luton are working on finding him another loan.

I wouldnt be against a LB. Dont know whats happening with Ridehalgh.

 

Pereira has already played for us and Luton this season so he can't go anywhere else unless it's down to non-league

 

Cant remember for certain, but didn't someone figure out a few months ago when the rumour started about the recall, that he could go out on loan again as he only played for Luton in the league cup? He'd needed to have played a league game to be stopped from moving on again? Might be wrong but it rings a bell.

Anyway, he's struggled in L2 and cant get in the team at the minute, a non-league run might be the only offer he gets.

 

Whilst he hasn’t done a lot this season he is much better than non league

 

Talking of which, Ollie Crankshaw's goal return has gone from 11 in 41 in non league to 1 in 26 in League Two

 

Not too sure he is to be honest, talent in there for sure but the lad is 24 in 2 months and the best he has to show is a mini spell last season that brought 1 goal and 0 assists in.

He had 5 or 6 really good games in an underperforming team 10 months or so ago, and has done incredibly little since he came back. Whenever i catch some non-league on BT or see a team in the cup, to be honest the standard from that top pack in the NL isn't that different to L2 anymore.

 

Just looked up the EFL guidelines and it's any official match so that will include the League cup. He can sign for a 3rd club but he can't play for them so I can't see him going anywhere because he's surely closer to our first team than Luton's.

Exceptions would be a move to non-league or a move abroad to a league which starts in the new year e.g. Ireland.

To be fair to Alex, he's had a rotten injury record all through his career and it's surely his durability rather than his ability that has curtailed his career. I had assumed he'd retired because he changed his twitter profile to "ex professional footballer" and he turned down the chance to stay with Northampton so I was a bit surprised when you pointed out he was at Tamworth, I wonder if it's a bit of a hobby for him?

Hopefully Dion isn't a flash in the pan but he wouldn't be the first footballer to burst on the scene and fade away when they are unable to consistently maintain the performance leve required to have a sustained career.

 

Back to Luton's reserves then for Dion. As it stands he's not doing enough for us and as we have only one spot available, he isn't going to get in ahead of a fit Banks, Chapman or Walker, assuming Wright continues as a second striker.
