Looks like clubs are starting to make their moves to be ready for Jan 1st. Gillingham have signed Tom Nichols today from Crawley and also bid for another striker in Isaac Olaofe, target man from Millwall who scored 8 in 18 starts on loan at Sutton last season. Stockport also have bid for him.

Jack Marriott also looks to have been transfer listed, with 2 unknown L2 clubs already believed to have approached Peterborough after a lackluster run in L1 this season.

I know we have the young Irish defender coming in, but does anyone else think we have a slot that needs addressing early in Jan? Rather than waiting to see who becomes available later in the window. I know its the easy one but another CM is needed very quickly.

Speaking of former PL players, sounds like we could be getting two former strikers at this level. 33 year old Charlie Austin is about to be announced at Swindon & 34 year old Wilfried Bony has been in talks with Newport but doesn't look as nailed on. He's trained with them a few times before and has played a handful of friendly games from them in the last month.

Dont think financials are the problem with their ownership..... it's the fact that they are absolutely clueless with far too many co-owners (30 parties make up WAGMI) not knowing a thing about running a club and it's turning into their own mini game of who can run the worst PR moves. Sounds like a lot of the senior players have asked to leave. One of their strikers who's out on loan, so technically still on the books, replied to the Nichols leaving tweet with "Wait, what?!? Surely been Hacked!"

A pissed off fan private messaged one of the more vocal owners online and posted the response on twitter after the sale of Nichols, with the owners reply saying "what?... i've just woken up but i'm assuming from the amount of messages i've got something bad has happened?" .... he could just be playing dumb to the fan but surely these online savvy young owners would know that anything they say will get posted online?
