We struggle to get a decent pitch partially due to shade and drainage, how are they planning on keeping the pitch good with a permanent roof?

That's pretty much the only location where it would make sense to build a multi purpose venue, it would also do more to regenerate the city centre than anything else they've come up with.

Not a chance that it ever happens.

Really, do you know more about this new Odsal stadium than we do according to the article its all about trying to make the Bulls future safe, no mention of football.

I think it's rather appropriate that these plans and landfill are being mentioned in the same post because that's invariably where the plans will end up.
Yet another pie in the sky idea.

IF it does then yes, it would be a bargaining tool.

    Hi Dave
A £50 +million 25000 seater stadium for a part time club with a current fan base of approx 3000 . Something does not add up here, and as someone on here has said, with a permanent roof how do you get the sunlight to make the grass grow. Surely it would have to be an artificial pitch, which counts us out straight away.

It's been proposed by the Bradford Bulls and The Council. Just add Del Trotter to the conversation and you have your dream team.

You could include Park Avenue and have another 600 punters once a fortnight coming through the turnstiles in winter.
Should help to make it a goer.

I know how it works Andy , I was a pension delegate of a pension fund a zillion times bigger than the Gibb family pension pot.

Yes, so do i. You put money into a fund on a regular basis and watch the total amount get smaller.

Smart idea having a sealed roof.!

£100m +. The £50m funding has to be matched from elsewhere, then there will be the compulsory council overspend

Fund values can go down, as well as up. Like mine this past year. My fund value has decreased a fair bit , just as i was looking at slowing down. Cest la vie, i will just have to plod on for a few more years.

Maybe the roof could be covered in solar panels. The council estimate this would bring in £1billion a year in revenue.

When the bulls were in super league they had an average of 12.000 even after a few bad years so the potential is there
