Loyalty Points & Priority for Away Matches

Unreserved seating only works when there is plenty of free space.
Tomorrow at Barrow will be a nightmare because there are only the exact number of seats to tickets, latecomers will struggle to find seats together.

 

I understand. The club has to start somewhere though.
We can't have the Chelsea scenario where mates of mates are getting tickets ahead of the hardcore.

 

I'm one of those dedicated to to the cause Rog, but you are right mate, although I find the fact that I can buy my Colchester ticket today but have to wait until tomorrow to buy a ticket for the Hartlepool very frustrating it is quite amusing as well.

 

I find it quite amusing that the police have insisted on a 12:00 kick off so the young City fans don't turn up pissed up for the game. The problem last season wasn't that they were pissed up, it was that they were coked up!

 

The only method to meet your criteria would be to just have an open sale from day1 with not even a requirement of a season ticket.
Or else how would you cater for someone who’s had a ST for 20 years solid and has now fallen on hard times and didn’t buy one?
How would that person get an away ticket?

The club is in danger of alienating some of its most loyal and longest serving supporters and does not even know the damage it is doing to its own supporter base

 

I wouldn’t go as far as that. There had to be a scheme in place but the way they are drip feeding tickets daily is pathetic.

 

I agree with this but as this thread shows whatever they do upsets some people. So giving priority to those who attends regular away games makes sense. However for any big matches say in the cup or plays offs I think there should be different rules that give the type of people you mention a chance

 

The membership scheme had its drawbacks. but was better and fairer than this points scheme and worked for home. away and cup games plus last season brought thirty grand in to the club

 

We have a hardcore of 500-1000 fans who regularly trawl up and down the country and those people need to be looked after.
What they do for big cup games I don’t care. For me they could just sell to anyone like they did with Chelsea. That way if you want a ticket badly enough you’d get up early and join the queue earlier or even camp overnight.

 

I've had a season ticket for the last 26 years. I don't go to away games very often but when I do it's usually to meet up with old friends and City supporters who live farther afield. Before covid that never seemed to be a problem and we got to several games. I could be wrong, but I suspect these reunions are now going to be a thing of the past.

 

Is there a way to find out a linked person's loyalty points ?

I wanna know how many my son has, he has less then me and he'd be gutted if I go to games without him so need to know what point bracket he's in so I can buy 2 together

 

Question - is it not a self fulfilling prophecy when the first away games have small away allocations? Those that start off getting tickets perhaps because they were able to attend pre-season friendlies become the core of people that will always be able to get them or will be the only ones to get them because they have an advantage of being able to watch the first pre-season games and accrue enough points. Those not able to attend those first matches will surely always be behind?

if the first away games were say at Rochdale, Gillingham and Doncaster then there would be more of a level playing field because more people would have had the opportunity to buy tickets and accrue points?

Surely the way the fixtures come out and the number of tickets available for away matches impacts who is able to buy tickets under this scheme?

I'm in the same position I buy my grandsons season ticket suite upgrade and away tickets but I'm unable to see how many he has accrued, I'll be popping down to the ticket office Monday to see how we stand we either both have a ticket or we don't travel.

 

Why have the club increased the points required for Hartlepool?
Similar number of tickets as Barrow. I've gone from Band C to not getting a Band!
I don't understand why that would be?
