Yet you quoted " or the needs of it's people" Judith Cummins was quite happy not to take on board what the majority of her constituents voted with regards the referendum, never the less the majority voted leave, talk about double standards.
as you say we'll agree to disagree.

So Rishi Sunak and Sajid Javid did the right thing by resigning, as I say he can't beat this situation, although the Tory party cant have another no confidence vote for a while I'm given to believe.

    Boris has to go now.

I just cannot see how he thinks otherwise now these 2 big hitters have resigned.

Ben Wallace for me to lead the Conservatives to recovery

All I can tell you is Brexit is a 'big government' issue that hasn't positively affected me in any way.

I'm asked to vote for a local representative, and I won't be voting for anyone who doesn't understand Bradford in any way at all, that's for sure!

He’ll try and stay on, it’s what he does. The papers haven’t quite steamed into him yet, so I suppose that’s in his favour.

The Vice Chair has just resigned as well. Bim Afolami resigned live on telly!

EDIT: Trade Envoy to Morocco has quit, too.

Ben Wallace - guys an absolute buffoon, just a bald Boris. Full of wind and piss.
It’s time to call a general election - this Tory shitshow have lost any credibility to govern.

Remember the 'at least it's not Corbyn' cries?

Perhaps Corbyn would be in a similar position, but there's no way it would be worse.

Boris and Corbyn are equally unpopular.

It's amazing that Boris has performed so badly that he's on equal footing with a man that couldn't achieve votes even in Labour heartlands.

    .
There is at least one poster on here who may share that view that on big issues we vote because of the leader and who at the time of the 2019 GE described a coalition between Johnson and Farage as 'the dream team' who will deliver Brexit! None of this nonsense about voting for the local candidate but a vote simply to 'get Brexit done' ;)

Unfortunately it isn't going away Jon even if Labour win the next general election.
Keir Starmer is to set out his vision for Brexit, promising to remove a series of trade and travel barriers while insisting that the debate on any UK return to the single market or customs union is definitively closed.

The problem is, the opposition is even weaker.

British politics at an all time low now.

    Oh for another Maggie

Boris’ little bum chums in the MSM did a right hatchet job on him - I’m no Corbyn fan, but he was destroyed by the lying media.

    And fair enough.

    I don't care about Brexit.

I don't see any benefit to it, and I think it was achieved on a fraudulent platform of promises and ideals, but it's done for the time being.

There'll be another vote in the future, maybe the country will rejoin, I don't really care.

It's not ruining my life, it's damn sure not making it any better, but the reality is it's been overshadowed by the immensity of first Covid & now Ukraine.

I’d rather have a weak leader than a morally corrupt one.
…but yes, you are right, there are no good options.

The Conservative Party will remain in office for at least 2 more years with an 80 or so majority. The issue for them will be to find a leader who is honest, has integrity and will appeal to the electorate. I'm sure there will be suitable candidates ... but just not sitting around the current Cabinet table.

As examples, Tom Tugendhat and Tobias Elwood, both Select Committee chairmen, would both meet my own personal criteria

The only one currently not tainted by recent events is Hunt - but there’s something not quite right about him.
Personally think it’s time for a National Unity Goverment to see us through the current unprecedented mess. Can’t be any worse than leaving this clueless, Conservative rabble running the show.

This is the same man who the majority on here condemned when he broke the lock down rules/law and took a trip to Richmond with his family now he becomes Saint Dominic, more faces than the town hall clock;).
