Ryan seems like a decent enough chap (can we still can people chap?) yet as Fordy says he does talk a lot of David Brent type shite at times. That said, enough folk seem to lap it up. As for fans forums, what has anyone ever found out that they didn't know by going to one?

Newcastle - Took at least ten seasons to get rid of Ashley. And even then he sold entirely on his own terms. He also left the club in easily the healthiest position in the bottom half of the PL. That was a surprise to me, given the moaning / hassle the fans gave him and I'd wager it was a surprise to the moaners!! Meanwhile, if Bruce/Ashley had made those January signings the fans would be moaning even more.

Half a month ago, Birmingham's owner insisted the club isn't for sale. So much for the effectiveness of their supporters protests for what six /seven seasons?

Meanwhile "Oldham's owner Abdallah Lemsagam says he is looking at selling the club after receiving written threats, including being sent bullets in the post". Is this what you call "how to do it correctly"?

Finally since when does 'get rid of the chairman' result in a roaring success anyway? Charlton's former admittedly 'toxic' owner, Roland Duchâtelet, sold the club when they were in the Top 6 of League 1 and they've had two different owners since. They've also lost a good manager in Lee Bowyer (although the silly ex-Leeds player - thought he'd get transfer funds at Birmingham ) and are now in L1 mid-table obscurity, more stable in terms of leadership - but no better off in terms of ambition.


I'm afraid, from the Newbury bypass to BLM's, etc, the evidence shows that protesting makes very little difference to the eventual outcome and is often actually counter-productive. BLM has simply allowed a them (white) vs us (black, i.e. me) wedge to grown wider.

I've always admired your passion, but you're naive if you think it's this simple. For me I think Rupp has finally put a correct plan in place, but around 5 years too late.

 

I'm not certain what people want. Unless they are 100% perfect, any 'vocal' senior footie chief, is always going to be prone to talking rubbish occasionally.

We either have that or a CE who never tell us anything.
