    The likelihood is that a new owner will probably do the same, unless they’re local and have a genuine interest in the club and it’s history. The money is there, it’s how it’s being spent that’s the problem. If Rupp was really interested he’d probably sack or move Sparks aside and employ an experienced CEO or bring in an advisor to Sparks with a greater knowledge of selecting the right manager. So far it’s looking like Sparks is having trouble identifying the right fit for this club. He’s now on his third appointment and we’ve made very little progress on the pitch where it matters.

    Don’t worry about telling him he has his head in the clouds unless it’s something positive about the club. Although it’s not the club we are against, it’s those ruining it that’s what he fails to understand.

    Rahic is nothing to do with Bradford City now and is taking nothing from the club, I find it strange that Rupp was prepared to take Wamgi to court, I don't think he went down the same route with his one time co-owner.

    They apparently do not attend, sometimes for seasons on end.

    The reason I quoted them, was that arguably they are three of the most successful clubs in England, that the success of the club, doesn’t rely on wealthy owners attending games, or even being football supporters.

    I had left Chelsea out, but for the sake of completeness, in November 2021, ‘Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich was at Chelsea's weekend Premier League clash against Manchester United, finishing his spell away from Stamford Bridge at over three years’!

    In reality, the attendance of the owner or even their absence in making statements, has not prevented these clubs from consistently being in the top four of the Premiership and competing in the Champions League.

    They would argue they have highly experienced, competent CEO's running the club for them.

    I think Abramovich was unable to attend for Visa reasons, rather than a lack of interest (He was at the Champions League Final). However, Abramovich clearly trusts Marina and the team to run the club-

    I'm sure Abramovich has the final say on Managers/Transfers though.

    Manchester City have Ferran Soriano as CEO who also held a similar title Barcelona before they took him from there.
    Al Mubarak is the chairman who runs the club/operation.
    Two of the most competent men in their field in the premier league if not world football

    No! Do stop making things up. Yes, he has his racing interests but they are not part of ER Sportgroup. As I have said on other occasions, ER Sportgroup has only 1 other investment - our club. There is no other source of revenue for ER Sportgroup, the club's ultimate holding company, than our club. He has several other companies dealing with his other interests including his involvement with sports car racing. For example his company RS Racetec incorporates his car racing interests.

    You continue to ignore the facts even when they are pointed out to you in simple terms. It appears to me all you are intent on doing is distorting the facts to suit your own position. Of course, you're entitled to believe whatever you want but in normal life, facts and evidence trump beliefs, even yours.

    I agree with both of you about the CEO/staff. Undoubtedly a crucial position.

    However the question is how does someone become a ‘successful’ CEO?

    I guess you have to be a CEO who is just staring out at some point.

    As far as I am aware there aren’t undergraduate courses in Football Club Management.

    There aren’t ‘academies’ for training people up to become CEO’s.

    So how does someone make the quantum jump?

    As pointed out those clubs are ‘light years away’.

    They have big structures in place, where staff could work in the environment, before progressing, but in our own universe, a far smaller operation, how does someone gain the experience?

    They gain experience by working under people with experience?

    Should Sparks be a Commercial/Comms Director with an experienced CEO?

    I don't know enough about the inner workings of the club to say that. Sparks will say he's grown revenue's, given the Manager every penny he can and improved the infrastructure of the club.
