I’d still have Songo’O & Paudie in there rather than Canavan, he’s been a massive let down this season.

 

I don’t like Adams, his tactics or his managerial style but like Sparks I would have gone for him. He’s here and I wish he was n’t but we have to stick with him. His CV gives him credit, Canavan has been really poor this season. Adams appears to have a plan. Whether it’s a good plan I don’t know but I’m glad our manager has a plan. He does n’t make it easy but we need him to sort it.

 

So according to Raynor, at the start of the day Adams didn't know he was selling Canavan.

Now, according to Parker, Canavan's reason for leaving is he got offered 18 months, and didn't think Adams would offer him a new deal.

Okay, so now that just leaves us with the absolute necessity of signing a better defender than Canavan.

To be fair, based on Canavan holding up a shirt, he must have been in Barrow so they knew he was going a few hours ago and therefore probably had half a day to get someone in

Now, one might think that a manager would like to know someone was coming in before sanctioning the sale of someone who has been consistently in the starting 11 but time will tell.

 

We will be making a signing. The club will know that they can’t let Canavan go without getting someone in. I’ve no idea who it will be but someone mentioned the lad from Bolton.

 

To think a couple of whoppers said Rupp had invested this window, only getting rid of two players. Now got rid of our club captain for a few, plus the Crankshaw fee. Investment my arse.
