Feel for him as a player, his career is going to be cut short and it’s already been hampered because of his dry rot like hamstrings that crumble as soon as he accelerates, however we deserve not doing our homework and maybe it’s time we stopped taking these ‘gambles’ and just make everything more bloody simple!

 

Stuck by Adams all season but I'm getting fed up of this. And his football is not inspiring me.

Disjointed, painful game with a lack of synergy, fight and appetite.

Last week, far too many got excited about a potential play off push. Today (and Carlisle a fortnight ago) layed out so many of our issues.

We had four defenders, Watt, Sutton, Walker, Daly and Gilliead in central midfield, and Angol up front. No width, no pattern, nothing. I'm flabbergasted that a professional football manager could send out a team like that. I've been very patient with Adams, and will wait to see where we are at the end of the window, but that patience is wearing very thin.

 

The players were beaten before we'd kicked off with a formation that killed any enthusiasm by half time. Bowyer was brilliant at it, I can't believe I spent £22 to watch a manager do that.
Very disillusioned right now.

What was disappointing was that until Angol pulled up with his injury Adams looked quite happy to leave it but when he brought Vernham on it looked like Adams had gone like for like.
No excuses today I can't understand all the changes take away the first 10 minutes and they looked lost and Adams has got to take the flak today, another great away following and let down once again.

This is what I don’t get about Adams he has had a largely successful career using these tactics. But he can’t seem to make them work for us. I think we have to many of the same sort of lightweight players and not enough ball winners with a bit of physicality and heart and soul. If he is going to survive the second half of the season he is needs to address this in the next couple of weeks

 

Totally agree, another very lacklustre performance. I've said it before I don't know what Adams plans are game to game, he just repeats the same rubbish. It's almost as if he tries not to lose and hopes we can knock something somehow and hold onto it.

Created nothing at Carlisle, created nothing against 11 men of Salford and created nothing today it's not good enough.


We can sign as many strikers as we want , but until the manager takes the brakes off, plays a formation that suits the team, gets wide players into positions that can hurt teams, and has strikers facing the right way, then we still won't score for toffee

 

With hair like that you have to play well and the lad did, we offered very little from anyone we couldn't take any positives from today's display no matter how Adams tries to defend his players or his formation.

 

Just read the Brentford wolves match got delayed for awhile due a drone over the pitch-might not be a bad idea to fly one overVP for our next disappointing performance

 

^^^^^^^^100% agree I've tried to defend Adams but today was undefendable poor management/formation and the way our players performed they looked void of ideas, I don't like to critise players but for me Watt could have been subbed before his injury once again he couldn't make a simple 4/5 yard pass.

 

Tbf I’ve been one of Watts biggest critics in recent weeks but o thought we were worse when he went off, Cooke did a couple of his famous 180 turns towards our own goal when we had a chance at a counter though other than that he did little. I thought Daly came in as a midfielder not winger but doesn’t look like it, still an area we need to strengthen urgently.

 

Morais is excellent on the radio.

Said we played Daly out of position. Hence why he had a poor game.

 

In his post match interview Adams said they missed Watts once he went off and disrupted their gameplan!
