    Worth recalling that it's DA's intention to bring in players for the 1st team with quality above what we have now. He has already assessed the weaknesses just hope he lands most of his targets.

    Peterborough scout players released from Prem club academies who disappear into to non league football in the South East, mainly Essex, Herts and East Anglia. That’s been their philosophy for many years started by Barry Fry.

    I don't know how many of these successful non league purchases weren't even playing in the National League Premier, which Charman isn't.

    The NLN & NLS are a really poor level.

    Having said that, as I said with Irish/Scottish/Welsh players, the level they're playing out doesn't inform you of every player's individual level.

    Still, Beesley who Rochdale have just sold was playing at Solihull in 2019/20 and they finished 2nd in the NLP. He's playing at a far higher level than Charman is.

    I'll throw it open to the floor - which players have been bought from the National League North or the National League South and did very well? Just to point out, I'm not backing a horse in this race, I'm just curious.

    We need a striker as priority for me. That’s the biggest criticism we’ve had regarding finishing the chances we were making earlier in the season.

    Conor Washington joined Peterborough from League Two Newport.
    Dwight Gayle joined Peterborough from League Two Dag & Red.
    Craig MacKail-Smith joined Peterborough from NLP Dag & Red.
    Matt Godden joined Peterborough from League Two Stevenage.

    All four players climbed up from much lower depths of the non league pyramid, but that isn't where Peterborough signed them from.

    Thanks for repeating exactly what I said about Gayle and Godden. The point is they all started to get noticed in the NL and that is where they were mainly experienced.

    irrelevant. They weren't signed from non league because Peterborough generally pick up players who have already arrived in league two. Doesn't matter where they are noticed, they hide their time and see if they transition first. It's a great game plan and powers the risk.

    we won't get out of league two by taking risks on non league players.
