Yes, I have. And with 4 of the next 6 away, how does this team, turn from mid table form to champions form? Our away form is poor..

    PL 12 W 3 Pts 13 G 12

Say we win 3, draw a couple that's 11 points.

We would still need a MINIMUM of 27 points from our remaining 12 games.

It's nice to have hope. But dissect our qualities and limitations, for which you have observed, as well as I and our limitations in this squad, are plainly obvious.
Can this squad pick up c70% of remaining points available this season?

Yesterday was a great win, and we did what we needed to do. Can't complain.

But we only scored once Salford were down to 10, and Bowyer put all of his players behind the ball.

Even then, had Hunter scored when he was clean away, we'd have been 2-0 down and we're simply not winning that game.

The win yesterday, as good and as enjoyable as it was, does not tell me we're going on a winning run any time soon - if we do go on a winning run, the next performances need to be even better.

Probably not the thread for it, mods please feel free to move it is needed but as we were talking about form...... For what it's worth, this is a weird season as nobody is really pulling away from the rest. The top 7 aren't on the ball as they have been in past seasons, with very catchable gaps on the teams above, you just need the form.

Right now, 3rd placed Northampton are on 41 points and 7th paced Mansfield are on 38 points. Below are the 3rd and 7th placed points totals for the past 4 season after 24 games, this year is a definite drop in quality. Also for reference added where Manfields 38 points would have you in the table compared to past seasons. As you can see, the top teams aren't the standards of the past. I reckon this will be a lower total needed for the play offs than usual come May.

    2018 after 24 games
3rd place was on 44 points
7th place was on 42 points
    38 points would be 14th

    2019
    3rd was on 46 points
    7th was on 43 points
    38 points would be 14th

    2020
    3rd was on 44 points
    7th was on 41 points
    38 points would be 13th

    2021
    3rd was on 42 points
    7th was on 40 points
    38 points would be 8th

If the lad Walker is anything to go by with regards Adams signings I'll take that.

So with regards your latest none sese comment, if we do win at Rochdale it won't count as back to back wins you're always claiming is beyond an Adams team,

A simple yes or no will suffice, a win at Rochdale would you class them as back to back wins , hardly a difficult question.

No, because we beat a 10 man Salford under boring Bowyer.

Answer my question. When was the last time we got back to back wins?

What are you? An England cricket fan at 68-0 thought we could win a test match against the Aussie’s based on a few runs?

Nothing suggests that Bradford City are good enough to go on a run! Sooner everyone expects we are shite then we might be able to concentrate on our failures to improve and kick on

I get your point but those stats are from our team before the Jan acquisitions.

we know clearly from xG we’ve underperformed this year. If we bring in more players who look as promising as Walker we could improve.

whether its enough to win 4 of our next 6 and then sustain the form beyond it I dunno….but lets take the next six games first and bloody well knuckle down and at least try.

sutton at RB, Songoo in for Canavan and hopefully Cook stays fit. Lets gooooooo

Ha ha so we rule out everything that’s happened before. Seriously!!

Most teams will be looking to improve in the window.

    Wake up mate.

This time last year after the same amount of games Bolton were in 17th and with 4 points less than what we have now, and were arguably poorer in the first half of the season than what we've been so far. They added a few in January (including flop Marcus Maddison) and ended up in 3rd.

The difference in performance after adding Walker yesterday was massive in my opinion, and adding more there's no reason we can't do a Bolton in such a poor league.

And dismissing that win because Salford went down to 10 men is pointless. I think to score 2 goals against ten men behind the ball defending a 1-0 lead is tougher than against 11 men still looking for a goal.

Although I tend to agree (it's the hope while it exists that's the killer!) how many points were 7th place on after this many games in those 4 seasons?

Far to early to give up on promotion, We should only do that when mathematically impossible, Only losers would give up before then

As people say it is a very long shot now but if they give it a real go we can at least enjoy the chase

In terms of good chances created we are top. Play hasn't being great but we knew that is what we would get with Adams. We have drawled a stupid amount of games. Therefore I honestly think it wouldn't take much to drastically change form

You were moaning the season we got to Wembley in the division above. You are Victor Meldrew on steroids. Pessimism although realistic doesn't really help anyone. Are you afraid/scared of disappointment and failure?

Those figures don't tally up with being 6 points off the play-offs. If we win 70% of the remaining points I would think we would finish not too far away from the top 3.

No, I face up to hence why I can see beating a 10
    Man Bowyer side means nothing

I thought Salford were the better side when they had 11 and should have scored earlier though an earlier tackle by one of our old boys looked like foot off the ground and studs first. It didn't even merit a free kick.
