Hmmmmmmmm - I considered that very thing as far back as last December.
In my own personal view - Barnsley allowed too many to go at once, and didn't 'replenish' at the required rate to compensate for that. Without knowing the full details - again, mine like all the rest - is just an opinion.

 

Then neither should you believe every bit of tittle tattle you hear elsewhere either.

Come on Bronco, youve been a fan longer than I've been alive, and in the 30 odd years ive been following city, ive seen us up shit creek many of times, and im sure you have seen much much worse than where we appear/you believe we are now.

How about lets seeing how this pans out first, i understand your frustration, i really do but who knows this could be something that whilst may not have immediate affect, it could well be the bricks and mortar the club is built upon for years to come.

Im sure come the end of the season both halves of this divide will be queing up with their i told you so's But in the meantime why not all just get on with supporting the club, getting behind the team and just stop either way, the pathetic little digs every five minutes

 

It has been quoted so many times by myself and others I would have thought even the most pro new owners would have understood.
But here goes again, when buying the club they stated they wouldnt change anything "why would we" was the comment and did exactly that by asking Parky to work under different terms to what he was contracted to under our last owners.
Their model we're told was a head coach yet they employ a manager in Stuart McCall then when they sack him employ yet another manager in Simon Grayson
They tell us they have interviewed several potencial head coaches but none came up to their expectations as they never offered any a contract, never a mention that those who they interviewed might have "turned us down" as Simon Grayson did.
Then after weeks of interviewing they find exactly what they were looking for right under their noses already working for the club how convenient, during Gregs interview he comments Edin asked him if he felt he could " work on the grass if required" why would a new coach want anyone but his own backroom staff working along side him on the training pitch, sceptical bronco eh.
We could go on but here are a few examples of stuff they have said that don't add up, now as I have said another of their bravardo comments was Championship within 3 years, I do hope they are correct, or was it just anothed flippent comment from one of our owners similar to the " we can still get 2nd place" when most fans were quite happy at where we were in the league but realised we were punching far above our weight, and of course the the " well back the manager if we are there of there abouts in January" that went well failed bid for Dennis, so we sign McGowan and bring in 3 loans, is that supporting your manager ?.

 

I know.. where's @south york bantams and his unsubstansiated bollox when you need him?

 

Point I am making is spending money down the routes we are taking how long will it take to go that way.

 

Like I say it might work and I hope it does but I think it will take alot longer than first thought.

 

Not at all just stating my opinion, and pointing a few untruths out, do I expect you to agree ?, surely that's what this forum is all about fans offering their opinions.

If amuses me that because some might have a different opinion to others they are some how not loyal, don't even go their with bronco .

 

Told him about Parky/Sheff Utd a few times but he won't have it. Refuses to believe it....

Your quite right I have been around watching our club a long time, by all means point out where I have ever said anything other than our club will get my full support in the coming season, I have pointed out that does not mean I have blind loyalty to the owners, I gave the last owners criticism when I thought they deserved it, the owners are not always right.

 

Talk about OTT, I've made comments about what the owners said and all you reply with is the above.
Did they make those comments of not.

Yet reading many posts on this Forum has left me nonplussed and 'ill at ease' of late !!

WHY can't posters accept a differing of an opinion without stripping each comment down to it's bare bones and returning it in a completely alternative perspective ?

We are all fans - Yet an outsider would find this SO DAMN HARD to believe, of late

Look through the recent threads - and try to see how many 'regular' posters are missing ! On Holiday, or just pissed off with the constant sniping and bickering between 'supporters'.

That's your complaints about the club and has nothing to do with countering the points I put forward.

The 'they wouldn't change things' only works if things don't need changing. The failed Dennis bid, well that happens all the time at those clubs paying fees and the McGowan signing could be a really astute one so I struggle to find complaint in that one.

As another poster pointed out it is an ambition is the Championship and is not a nailed on cert for anyone.

The Parky point, it's just been pointed out that you thought he was off anyway and are not the only one who thinks so.

The rest is just petty back biting. If you care to you could take me to task over my opinion none of which dealt with any of the issues you have gone off on a tangent with.

 

Inconvenience happens with "change". Sometimes it's good,sometimes it's bad.My analogy is we're all sat on a fence "waiting" for whichever happens.Some have jumped off one side or the other but the ones still clinging on are hoping for the best but our indomitable club will persevere and good times will return.
