    Release clause or not the only person who decides where he is going is the player himself.
    Decent wages for a current non league player will turn more heads than not.
    Would we guarantee him first team football immediately?
    Not with the form of Cook and Angol.

    Local derby ?, we know they can be a little brutal at times, Gordon Watson getting his leg broken by Kevin Gray, and even our own players getting emotional when they think a team mate isn't pulling his weight Stuart MaCall and Andy Myers coming to blows.

    Hopefully Evans is the one we got shot of. No credibility to this at all but purely from a Geographic POV could we shift him to Notts County or Chesterfield?
    I wouldn’t like to lose Vernham-he’s finishing is atrocious but his running at players is very effective-he’s a slightly worse version of Daley

    no we’d guarantee him decent minutes though and with Angol’s hamstrings needing to be rested and always another injury risk he could be starting sooner rather than later

    That's not quite correct. The amount in the release clause is the minimum which the selling club is obliged to accept. A club may well bid more for their own reasons but the selling club must accept any bid, not just the first one, which meets or even exceeds the release clause. (Why a club would pay more than the release clause defeats me. Better to use that extra to entice the play to their club) At the end of the day it will however be determined by the player. Irrespective of what a club has bid, he'll join the club which best meets his own demands whether that's money, location, training facilities or anything else for that matter.

    If we do sign him then it’s a low risk one where the player will be third choice behind Cook and Angol. Surely we will see Robinson and Lavery leave?
