Imagine back in 2004 when we were deep in financial trouble if someone like Mark Zuckerberg had come along with his unknown, misunderstood , pie in the sky idea trying to buy the club and the dinosaurs from this forum told him to feck off with his product that only existed in the clouds.

 

Idiots trying to get rich quick from crypto are the ones to avoid but these guys seem to be the ones who boarded the ship before it sailed.

You see this is the reply I'd expect from somebody as half witted as yourself. I haven't said one way or the other about this takeover. But you just like every other rumour or actual takeover sh1t yourself at the mere thought of change.

 

These dinosaurs should concentrate their efforts on surviving Covid and let the youth with fresh ideas get on with life.

 

People calling cryptocurrency magic beans and invisible money really are daft. For the folk that think that, I'd like to inform you that your bank account isn't a physical vault in a building full of notes and coins - and by your standards is 'invisible'.

Crypto isn't a fad and to be frank it's definitely going to outlive the demographic that seems to be it's main critic. There's a reason there's such a keen interest in the tech from the most impactful companies in the world, with a market cap valuation of trillions of dollars - so the jokers might want to learn about it sooner or later as it's going to become increasingly more involved in all our lives.

Thankfully a lot of older folk do acknowledge they know little about the technology, and actually make an attempt to learn about a topic that even those in the tech field find they have to think hard about. This crypto 'thing' isn't just a fad for the youth and a lot of educated folk across the age range are deeply invested in it.

What annoys me is prats like Simon Parker and his ilk (90% on Twitter) fearmongering about a topic they clearly know very little about, declaring it the end of days and trying to pull on heartstrings. I'm not sure if it was the T&A but there was a bloody sob story poem where a fan declared their love as a non-fungible token! It's as if these people are being as purposefully obtuse as they can be.

 

Bullshit I would welcome change from the real world not this pie or NTF in the sky rubbish. I have heard and seen clamour for change many times over the years and when it does very little happens. To suggest myself and others aren’t ambitious is an untruth

If this is aimed at me I am certainly not against modern technology what I am against is the club being used as sort of test tube of an idea with unknown outcome

You're correct. Look at a simple thing like Virbela that took off in the last year. Recruitment using virtual reality for interviews. It's not mainstream but many businesses are tapping into various meta and virtual reality opportunities.

There's a lot wrong with a lot of this comment but even the part which dismisss the concept of love as an NFT clearly shows that you have limited understanding of NFT's yourself. A person's love is unique and non-replicable, it has no set value, there are no set ways to judge its value and the value of it can be affected by the person it, the person it and the environment in which it is being expressed. That's the dictionary definition of non-fungible.

 

Rupp and Rahic came in with what I thought was the way the club should go that was picking up players and developing them and selling them on something akin to the way Peterborough do it. The fact that Rahic wanted to pick the team and pick unrealistic managers completely derailed the whole idea. But unless we start thinking a bit more long term this club won’t move forward

 

It's definitely not an attack aimed at you but I think you might share some of the same sentiment as who it is aimed at.

It's really aimed at the unapologetically ignorant who reacted with such vitriol at this idea of 'yank crypto hippies' ruining their dreams of away days at Gateshead and Brackley when they'd never even heard of NFT's or their only understanding of it was a bunch of jpegs
