    No, it isn't set by the EFL. It's set by FIFA/UEFA because it's an international transfer. Remember the Mark Stewart debacle? The amount we had to pay Falkirk was also set by UEFA/FIFA.

    I think we moved on when we signed the lad from Leicester.

    We have him, Chicksen and Robinson who could all play lb/lwb if required

    Yes they do. FIFA refer to as a 'training' fee. The schedule is somewhere on the internet.

    As I mentioned to Bronco, do you recall the Mark Stewart fiasco?

    If true, we are really splitting hairs with our penny pinching. Hope they have other irons in the fire that offer us at least what Greg did, preferably more. Did we really want him in the first place? A normal person would question this given the lack of ambition shown in negotiation.

    They should have known what we'd have to pay as a development fee. It's fairly easy to find the FIFA/UEFA schedule and in any event the club should have one. The only thing our club wouldn't have known is whether Bury had made Leigh an offer because without one, Bury can't trigger a development fee.

    We couldn't agree a fee. We moved on. Signed someone else.

    We have Wood and Chicksen for the LB role - why would we have other irons in the fire?
