Was just trying to emphasize the lack of trust leading to the general malaise of being encouraged to take the booster jab
People will quite rightly make up their own minds

And I agree they should but if that's what they're using to decide they're barking up the wrong tree.

I'm going to presume you're unvaccinated. There's an interesting debate as to whether your individual right to choose that negates your responsibility to not do harm to others.

I thought Klopp was particularly interesting regarding the vaccination debate. His analogy regarding drink driving isn't perfect but it gets the point across. I suspect that the % of Liverpool players unvaccinated is much lower.

Why do you presume he is unvaccinated. A look back at his posts shows he is, and he actually had the stance of banning unvaccinated people from VP right at the start before seeing it was a completely pointless stance so he changed his mind.

He knows he is safe, I know I am safe, others know they are safe and are making their own decisions. Unfortunately millions are hanging on the words of every doom monger.

Yes there have been 170k deaths, but 150k were before a proper vaccine roll out.

You can't stay frightened forever and of anything those who are happy to crack on are far more pro vaxx, than those who accuse them of being anti vaxx.

Double jabbed, had Covid (delta) and therefore have antibodies and significant immunity (something the mainstream media won’t disclose as natural
Immunity from previous infection doesn’t scare or make anyone any money) and that’s as far as I’m going - I was so intent on getting jabbed that I actually phoned my GP daily and asked for my jabs before my age group was called upon and got fitted in when my local doctors surgery had some spare slots/jabs one evening.

This is an utterly sickening stance.

Shame on you or anyone who has this fascist thought process.

Well he did label me a militant pro vaxxer, so it was (now I know uneducated) guess I was willing to make.

Just so you know and I am honestly not preaching at you I absolutely promise. If it helps inform a decision the facts are that there is a significant re-infection rate from Delta to Omicron and 1 in 5 people infected with Delta do not produce any antibodies (nobody knows why that is as yet). In South Africa most of the infections have been in people previously infected with Delta.

Apologies for making the assumption you weren't vaccinated btw.

    Yours truly,

    Militant vaxxer :)

I don't get this argument now. I got it in the early days when they thought the vaccine dramatically reduced transmission but it's now proven that is not the case. It reduces transmission slightly, and only for a couple of months.

In fact, an unvaccinated person wanting to go to a large event now is actually LESS likely to 'do others harm' than a fully vaccinated person. An unvaccinated person has to take a LFT within 48 hours of the event and get a negative result, therefor proving they don't have the virus at that time. A fully vaccinated person merely has to show their vaccine passport and as we're all well aware now, just because you're fully vaccinated doesn't mean you don't have the virus.

I think the jury is still out on the former - difficult research to do definitively.

One argument - vaccinated = less likely to get infected in first place and therefore be a spreader; and also in those with breakthrough infection viral load is cleared quicker and they are therefore infectious for less time.

Also vaccination is a population strategy. It works at a population level and so population coverage is vital. Whilst many (including the dreaded BoJo) have tried to call for collective action, more often than not individuals think about their personal risk associated with vaccination.

    fecking idiots.

Didn't Drakeford announce we are bringing in the covid pass to prevent closure of venues, and here we are seeing the closure of venues.

They don't even have the money to support this closure.

He won't give Wales money otherwise Northern Ireland and Scotland will expect the same. Then English businesses will want fund and we have a multi billion black hole paying people to sit at home triple jabbed.

Latest data a little reassuring if you are outside of London. Sharp spike in infections in London as we know but so far only slow uptick in other regions. Probably a combination in lag of infection spead and behavioural changes pre-empting that spread. Let's hope that and the possibility that omicron has mutated to a milder version are realised.

    Regards,

    Militant vaxxer
