I doubt he is anywhere near the sack Fordy.

Sparks paid compensation to Morecambe for his services and awarded him a 3 year contract. I doubt Sparks or Rupp will be comfortable with sacking him and starting over again so soon.

We need to show patience with Adams. I never believed he would turn us around so soon given the squad he inherited, but I do believe he will turn it around. May take another couple of windows including this coming January one though.

Look at how long it took Parky for example.

Adams is clearly a winner and he will succeed here in my opinion

 

Just because he's been a winner elsewhere does not relate to him being a success here. It might well be that further down the line he is successful but that all pure conjecture and as it stands Fordy is kinda on the right lines that Adams results are nowhere near good enough. And him passing the blame every week will soon wear thin if these results don't pick up in the new year. I'm not for knee jerk sackings of managers but this guy hasn't impressed me yet. If the January transfer window doeant see an improvement on results I'll be happy to see both Sparks and Adams go, as both seem to like to talk the talk.

 

I agree to some extent but, unless we start looking like relegation candidates, I see only two or three ways Adams leaves, he resigns, Sparks and Adams leave or next season’s ST sales are so bad the club needs another PR boost. Unless any of those happen I’d say he’s going to be here this time season. If we’re still in the same situation in 12 months, then he’ll go. For me any credibility Sparks has rests on turning this club around. He’s not doing that by sacking yet another manager he appointed.

Fully agree until Mr Rupp lowers his Over inflated expectations as to what this club is worth we are going nowhere fast
The mythical money person with millions to lose is not even close if the figures you here are correct it will be a long long time till we find them or worse, compound those facts with our very inexperienced CEO and the club is going absolutely nowhere
It's a chicken and egg situation we need to get at least one promotion to see our value rise and that can only come with results on the pitch I don't believe Mr Adams is the right man to do this his single minded couldn't care less who he upsets attitude will only further alienate himself (Mr Sparks isn't going to react either he pinned his career on him at the start of the season) players if the haven't already will start to resent this and our reputation amongst other clubs (and players) is suffering. This January won't be any different to any other January
Our players have already shown earlier in the season (injuries accepted) what they are capable of so something is drastically wrong on the pitch as well
Am all for continuity at the club it's a must but cast your mind back to last season when T&S took the reins the same team who couldn't buy a win under Stuart went on a run that very nearly took us to the play offs
There was life before Mr Adams and will be afterwards (hopefully)

I agree with that but the club has put itself in a difficult position with how they told everyone that promotion was the aim and it wouldn't accept mediocrity. Now that mediocrity can be rectified in January but I won't hold my breath. For us to bring in players some are gonna have to leave, we don't exactly have clubs queing round the block for ours. I'll give it January to see what transfer activity happens. If we target better players than we have then I'll back Adams for the longer term.

Maybe with his recent comments he is inviting being moved on its a case of he may have to move himself on to protect his "mighty" in his own head reputation

 

If he's that good, why didn't he get peterbourgh promoted? They were struggling under him then DF comes in and takes them to the championship.

he is not the sort of manager to come in and make a team better than they are. this team are pants and Steve Evans cant make them into trousers.

 

Sorry but all people bang on about is Adams and his two promotions and how in the summer he was the best manager in this league. So I’ll send the question back to you… If he’s that good then why can’t he get Bradford promoted?
You know as-well as I do that there are all levels of mitigating circumstances as to why a football team might struggle on a particular season. How many mangers have Sunderland had trying to get out of league one. Just saying he didn’t get Posh promoted when Ferguson did is such an easy and predictable thing to come out with.
This isn’t a Steve Evans thread. I get why people don’t like him. Is he a worse manager than Adams though? I very much doubt it.

It's not a fact that he's doing excellent, it's your opinion, it's not a fact that he can't bring anyone but loans and free transfers (Scally says they are unaffected - although most clubs limit themselves to not paying fees at this level because it's not necessary), it's not a fact that they're simply unlucky with injuries, it's an excuse, and it's not a fact that only you have ever gone past the M606 or whatever cack you keep posting and insinuating for some reason.

You're the one that chose to read my post on their stats (facts) and tell me that those are actually good enough because of a laundry list of excuses.

I’m not going over my post again. I said Steve Evans wouldn’t be a bad appointment. I stick by it. If you don’t agree then fine but to say he’s done a bad job at Gillingham is short sighted.

Adams has been here all of 6 months… have i missed a play off final or something? You are judging him on six months. Six months. Toxic levels of expectation.

Adams has not got any team promoted the first season in. Frankly your expectations of L2 managers is too high.
Off the top of my head, Marco Silva at Fulham and Scott Parker (both proven PL Managers) have really improved the teams they have managed. If we had that here he would get poached from us immediately. Evans would have the EXACT same problems that Adams has now. And respectfully you thinking otherwise shows either you haven't been a fan for the past five years or you have severe selective memory.

Look at Sunderland. Look at Ipswich. Two clubs stuck in medoricty because of toxic expectation. Johnson getting booed because he drew against oxford utd. What a joke.

5 years 8 managers year on year regression in terms of league possession.

we have never been higher than the season before since we started sacking managers.

Maybe lets try something new.
