Same old from the interview. Club is financially sound and we have loads of money to spend so we’ve told all the agents and clubs we are negotiating with so they can bump their prices up. We never learn do we? The proof is in the squad we build. No need to run to the media to tell them the budget. We are not stupid

How many fans have been on here telling us we have not got a pot to piss in or Mr Sparks has gone to ground.
well straight from the horses mouth, the club is in a good financial position and has money to spend come January.
    Wont stop some complaining though.

The actions of January will speak very much louder than a few sound bites in a local newspaper article.

So we have money to spend but the budget was cut again in the summer. Thing is, if we do actually have money to spend as being alluded to by Sparks, why on earth didn't we spend it in the summer when the more important transfer dealings are made? Why wait till the notorious January window when it's difficult to get clubs to part with key players. And why waste half the season when that money could have gone into building a squad capable of promotion from the off.
Just a interview full of inane waffle.

Because we are an upside down club never do things in the right way
Why IF (probably what's left of the Crankshaw debacle) we have money to spend in January do we tell clubs, agents, players to dig in for more money :x3::x3:
    It's the way we roll

Of course January's transfer business will tell us all we need to know, but this club was rock bottom this time last year after several years of bad leadership, on and off the field. Hopefully we stengthen well , get shut of some of the deadwood that is still hanging around and really push on in the new year. As the saying goes Rome was not built in a day.
I am not overly keen on Mr Adams playing style or tactics , but we have to stick with a manager at some point and get off this hire and fire merry go round.
Short time pain for long time gain.

Would we have not have been better investing this so called extra money in a good squad in the summer and then we only need to add one or two players in a difficult window? With maybe the odd loans to cover injuries? That way we get the majority we want out of contract and pay slightly more on wages?
Instead we are nearly 10 points off of auto promotion and maybe more by the time the window opens.

“Our Wembley this year is very much Wembley itself”
“On the ropes but nowhere near the canvas and still plenty of rounds to go”

    Is this guy for real?

Can’t wait for @Fordy117@Fordy117 to digest these inane cliches.

Andy, if we won the play offs there'd be a number on here annoyed and angry that we didn't go up as Champions.

Clubs and agents will all know how much we have to spend without Sparks mentioning it in an interview - as we will for their players. There are not a lot of secrets behind the scenes.

we as fans don't know the ins and outs of the summer business, who was responsible for what. Adams,Turnbull? Or how much the budget has grown because of commercial deals , pay on the day numbers and the Crankshaw deal. Its just good to know, we have the finance and the willto hopefully improve things.
