If you are right and he is referring to Rupp and Sparks it's only going to end one way
Bye Bye Mr Adams won't be sad to see you go
But who do we get to replace him who would even want the job
Trueman will keep us up and it's Deja vu

I'd rather see the salesman leave and keep the man that has played football

    Nowt wrong with salesmen ;);)
Adams is not the man to take us to the next level yes he has a record for promotion from this league but no further than that, don't forget he also has 2 sackings on his CV as well not without reason

Either way Steve its worrying to think we are going to have too limp though to January and scandalous that we have just one striker up front, its not going to end well, confidence must be rock bottom and with that alone he could lose the dressing room

Think the dressing room is half lost already (too much work makes Jack a dull boy)
As for January I very much doubt Mr Rupp is going to fund us to the point it will make a difference
The other way is to sell players to fund it,
30 Bob and a bag of cheese and onion for Gilleard won't go far

And he’s not the poor manager you think he is just because you don’t like him. He’s the only one off the field with any footballing knowledge like it or not, he goes and we’re stuck with dummies off field and another poor transfer window to look forward to.

As poor as Gilliead is it’s a bit unfair to single him out last night, he wasn’t the one to blame for the sloppy goals and he certainly wasn’t the only one to blame for us looking blunt in attack. The midfield trio couldn’t pass wind let alone a ball and lost every 50/50, the distribution from the back even worse and Vernam was quieter than Gilliead for once. Plus he can’t help been constantly picked when out of form, same with Watt, both need putting in the bench and having to fight for their place back. It was a night when I’d struggle to give a 5 or over to anyone so I won’t be moaning at one or two, they all deserve it!

Also I actually think we looked worse when he went off, which just about shows how poor we actually are!

Problem is where do we go from here? The team needs changing but the fringe players are as bad, if not worse, than the players currently in the team. Aside from Canavan, there is not a single player on that bench who is good enough for this division and will improve this team.

Adams is reputed to be a good manager but he's making a mighty fine job of disguising it.

Continually doing the same thing but expecting a different outcome is the definition of delusion. It can't always be the wrong managerial appointment, especially when this one has done well at other clubs. I don't personally blame him, he's been given a sow's ear and has been expected to fashion a silk purse out of it. My fear is that those above him will seek to blame him to prevent the criticism reaching them. Then the club will be in an even bigger mess if they're managerless once again.

I agree a bit harsh on Gilliard. He actually made a tackle towards the end of the first half. First thing decent I've seen from him all season. Maybe he'll have the confidence to do something else soon.

As did Parky in his first season, we all bought into Sparks’ we are going for promotion pre season hype myself included. But after watching 11 games time to re-evaluate, most of this team were here last season and had 2 6+ loss streaks which helped 2 managers get sacked. Those that have come in on a slashed budget are no better or worse in most cases. Adams has also never got a team promotion in his first season, it’s time to be realistic and say we’ve been a sinking ship for 4 seasons on the spin time to give someone time and let him clear the decks as Parky got in 11/12. This isn’t an overnight job as much as we’d all like it to be.

Not sure where I have said i didn't like him I don't know the guy
Just forming an opinion on what's happening on the pitch with players he oversaw the signing of
The slump he is currently overseeing, the tactics, the persistent inclusion of players obviously not good enough, selling a player who was obviously better than some current 1st teamers
It's quite a list of you think about it
I agree with you we need football men off the pitch to progress obviously men who love a "challenge"
Have I missed something with regards (if he stays) this January window being good for us
Can you honestly see "your mate" digging deep ???

His comment was hardly a surprise. Parky said similar things during his first season as well. When any organisation goes on a decline, the bread and butter workers naturally get dispirited and a viscous circle ensues.

Who know Watt's nervousness, could be down to getting daggers from the staff who feel let down for him and have felt let down for the last five years. It can't be easy coming to us, in comparison to say Barrow, Harrogate, Hartlepool and Barrow. Simply human nature is such that if there is you see continual failure - it's going to make you feel more negative and hence that will almost certainly have some effect on those going on the pitch.

Of course it's not the whole story. But it's bonkers to mock Adam's comment, when people like Klopp, Pep, Rogers etc talk about the importance of a happy club. And how can it be Sparks? He's only been here for a year or so. And Rupp has nothing to do with the day to day organisation - so your comment is simply daft.

It's also amazing that after 13 league games, you will be happy to let yet another manager go. Do you not look around at successful clubs and note that they all have one thing in common? Patience. I'm happy for Adams to be here this time next year, even if we're still in L2, as progress will have been made for a manager who has never failed to get promotion at a club he's managed.

Love to know what you thought about Parky after that winless January 2011

Who’s my mate? We need Rupp to invest which he won’t, I don’t expect miracles in January but I expect it to be better with Adams than without. Unless you think the trio of Rupp, Sparks and teacher Trueman will have the football knowledge to bring anyone in to help.

Explain who he's going to "lose the dressing room" when arguably our best two players (certainly in terms of drive and determination) Canavan and Songo'o have total respect for him.

If you mean he's going to 'lose' O'Donnell, Watt, Cooke etc - then bye-bye to them. In some respects, I'd love some to turn on Adams - it would be entertaining albeit fatal for them.

Like Wycombe did with Ainsworth and Rotherham with Warne - the CEO simply makes it known that they are the boss and they have total unconditional from the board. We did this with Parky as well. Sparks is doing it with Adams.

Harsh on Gilliead?. I would look more interested and effective playing with my dodgy ankle and knee at 61 years old.

I agree he was not the only one last night, but barring a tap in goal, he has contributed nothing all season.
