As soon as you think football is a good day you might as well not bother going and spend quality time with the family or do things with your friends.

Very much my thinking. I had a 18 month sabitical from alcohol, Covid lockdowns and in that time, I tried to reassess the way I function and think.
I try/tried to remove stresses from my life and function with more of a smile on my face (work in progress). Football and the match day result ain't as important now as the social aspect.

Very disappointing wasn't it. Should have been out of sight at half time.

Still only 4 points off automatic. 3 unbeaten. Win on Tuesday and things looking ok table wise. Much better performance yesterday - obvious the tactic was high press for as long as the legs could sustain it. We were always going to fade with that approach but should have been comfortable at that point.

This season is going to be a grind - get used to it. Still think it could be a grind in the right direction. If we had another fit and decent striker I'd be more sure of it tbh.

Strangely, one of the things I have tried to do in making a happier life is remove narcissistic folk from my life.

No it isn’t I go with friends kind of the whole point, I’d no longer go to a game by myself when once upon a time I’d have gone by myself on a freezing Tuesday night by myself if nobody else could come and have done then sulk about the result for days. You’d make a terrible football club owner btw, those that you’re saying shouldn’t attend make up well over half of a clubs income. Most people go with family and friends.

It isn’t away days are far better. Until the club gets promoted there will be a lot of anxiety around the place as we expect to win every game, you could feel it yesterday last 20 minutes made for a crap atmosphere. I witnessed the same at Sunderland when we played there on Boxing Day, at that level they expect to win every game and you can just feel the tension in the stands rather than a party type atmosphere.

I went on my own without my lad for the first time as he's started working, and although there is a good bunch around where I sit I pretty much hated it. Now that's not to tell others how and what they should do but I realised I don't really go for the football, which to be honest for most of the 90 minutes bores me. Made me realise how poor a lot of league 2 footballer are.

The thinking with regards moving Songo into Watts position might have been with Songo getting a knock, although he had looked to have run it off maybe Adams thought a fresh pair of legs in the midfield was required as Bristol were throwing everything forward he could still have brought Scales on and substituted Songo for Canavan at 6'4" he would have been a better option to keep Pitman quite.

I don’t own a football club and wanted too.

I’m taking to you on a level. When any sport becomes a care free watch then pointless attending. Might as well watch at home.

Bradford City losing or drawing should ruin your weekend.

Oh and if I would make a shocking owner then our current one is backing up what I am saying. Doesn’t attend games and more than likely bombing about in a racing car on a weekend giving no fu&ks about Bradford City results.

I'm in a similar boat , on both points made.

I go solely with my 14 year old daughter, I've now got to the point after six years of her coming along where I don't know if she goes because she thinks I expect her to go or I go because I think that's what she wants. I genuinely couldn't be arsed yesterday but went away. Due to circumstances I've missed 2 or 3 games already so thought I'd be buzzing yesterday but I weren't. Feels a sorry situation to be in after thirty years but that's where I am

The second point regarding the standard, and I know I'm talking a massive jump here, but we've been taking advantage of the cheap tickets at man city for champions league games. She is in no way inclined to switch allegiance but from the way she speaks it's clear she can see and understand the vast quality differences and chuckles when she watches one of our lot struggle with a simple ten yard pass which CL full backs are pinging 60 yards crossfield balls to feet

I find the whole away day a far better experience arrive in the town early full English breakfast a wander round then a pub before kick off, after the match a meal and drive home maybe that's telling me it's the day out rather than the game itself thats the attraction however a win is always welcome
I was in the home end at the boxing day Sunderland game yes the atmosphere wasn't good but I put that down to the "once a year brigade"

For us to ever get out of this league in to automatic places then we need to understand draws are unacceptable unless playing the current top 3-4 teams.

Bradford City can't handle the pressure.

You know I am the same. There were two lads behind me going apoplectic at the final whistle literally foaming at the mouth booing and throwing general abuse at the players. I just chuckled to myself.

We could all see that they were going to score at least an equaliser. I hoped they wouldn't but they did.

Went home and had something to eat. Didn't even mention the game to the missus.

I really want the club to do well, I really do, but sadly days like yesterday are becoming all too often. It's not as easy as it used to be to get excited on home match days anymore. And then we have to endure Andy Kiwomya talking utter bollocks on the way home.

Unsure about DA right now after yesterdays badly handled tactics late on. Even going 5 at the back to make a good fist of defending our lead would not have meant much more pressure as our midfield and attack was non existent at that point and they were already attacking at will.

Get a grip mate, we all want the club to do well but that’s way ott. We are one big dysfunctional family on here and if you feel like that I feel like you could be missing something from your life, I hope you find it mate there’s more to life than football.

I don't accept that. How would they weaken the team?

We didn't need to score. We were already winning. What we needed was fresh legs up the pitch to chase and harass their defenders and to run down the long balls. We needed fresh legs to give the defenders a bit of a breathers.

The quality argument is cobblers in this scenario. We just needed players to come on and work hard. It was a great opportunity to bring the squad together. To make Robinson and Lavery feel like they've contributed to a win.

I have to say Adams appears a very divisive manager. Either youre in his group or you're not and if you're not then there's nothing you can do about it apparently.

I think l said that a home draw against a team significantly below wasn’t a good result. I stand by my original comment, win at home and draw away, and you get 92 points and automatic promotion and a good chance of winning the league. Now it would be virtually impossible to get exactly those results, but allowing for some away wins and a few slips, then that is a decent target.
I was content with a draw at Newport, but the result yesterday, dropping two points, despite being ahead twice, is not good enough. Do we agree on that?
