    Certainly looks that way.

It will be a tough sell if we fail this season. Trust is paramount

Yes I remember but i thought I remember Adams saying it was nonsense when he first came in or words to that effect. It’s certainly not a legit way to operate in football.

Cant say I heard the Adams comment but I do remember thinking at the time how Morecambe were so placid about it (maybe they know something we don't)

Moving the goal posts because we can't find the net often enough!

We have room for a loanee and considering our injury situation I would hope his team of scouts are urgently looking to bring someone in. Trouble is that this time we have to break the mould and recruit a player fit for purpose and 1st team ready. Not really had the best track record at this but to improve we have to get things right as a Club once and for all.

Not before January we can't. Out of contact only until then. Adams must be a nightmare of a manager to work for if you're not in the match day squad. I feel for the lads who get 5 minutes or no minutes week after week.

The team were desperate for some fresh legs, the worrying thing is the manager was the only one who didnt see it,especially with a game coming up on tuesday

Makes you wonder why the pacey crankshaw was let go without a replacement, £ decisions coming home to bite.

Everyone could see the tide turning it might have even been worth sticking Canavan up top towards the end to try get Some possession further up the pitch.

We had Lavery or Robinson for that (I know) but it's becoming obvious as with any other player he didn't sign them so they don't play
Our plan looked to be to defend the 2-1 lead would have made more sense to bring Canavan on at the back and push a very tired Songo into his more natural position
Tactically naive from Mr Adams (or Stubborn) take your pick but he cost us 2 points yesterday
Hope those players who were absolutely done in after 70 mins today enjoy the extra training maybe some of them could tell Mr Adams where he went wrong instead

I think he saw it. But I think when he looked behind him and saw that his options were Lavery and Robinson, he knew that they would significantly weaken the team. And that's the problem when you recruit like we do.

No doubt there was very little on the bench to strengthen the team (Crankshaw who get rid of him) but they may have been able to hold the ball in the opposition half (you don't conceed from there) plus they would have to deploy a man to mark him
If I were Lavery or Robinson I wouldn't train today, what's the point they are never going to get game time that was blatantly obvious yesterday spend some quality time with the family

Agree second half we were dire. A tale of two completely polar opposite displays !

It felt like a 4-0 defeat, to an absolutely dire team ( In the first half).

Second half they had nothing to lose..3 at the back, 5 in the middle, 1-1 at the front.

They swamped our three in the middle and we went backwards thereafter.

The loss of the 2 points we should have had is purely down to bad management, After half time they pushed forward in to midfield and had more energy, Everyone except the manager saw the game turning and the panic in the team in the last ten minutes where we needed to boost the midfield, Watt came off injured and he brought young Scales on which was a poor decision when he should have brought Canavan on at the back and pushed Songo in to midfield to try regain control, The other thing that annoys me is Adams claiming it was a wonder header from Pittman for the equalizer that no keeper could stop when in fact.it was poor positioning from the keeper who was caught off his line and left stranded by a good header but stoppable had he been on his line,
There is a long way to go yet but Adams needs to up his game management and his performance as at the moment it is not good enough,
In the end we were lucky not to lose in the last minute

Very disappointed to say the least. Other than goals to back up our approach, we were fantastic first half. The second , the had nothing to lose, and we ( Adams) didn’t react.

As I stated earlier in the thread, I'm using football (particularly away games) for the social aspect, enjoying the crack with friends and my son.

Being honest, if we win great. If not, so be it. I love the club but it's not the be all anymore.

I've become accustomed to being let down by this club. That's the only thing they can guarantee over the season, especially with Rupp at the helm.

The changes Barton made certainly helped, he picked the wrong team from the start.

That's brightened my Sunday morning up. Perhaps you could see if Derek has a slot for a number 3 for such tactical insights?

I’m the same mate, even when England lost the euros final I wasn’t really bothered just had a good evening in good company. That’s when I wondered if I was that bothered about football anymore, then my first live games in 18 months came around and I’ve been enjoying it even yesterday and what I’ve found is I’m enjoying it regardless of what’s on the pitch sometimes in spite of it. Maybe it’s just as I’m getting older or Covid but I’ve realised there’s far more to like that a result after 90 minutes but can still have a good day out. I actually enjoyed the game yesterday, obviously would have been good to hang on as I’d like to see us playing better quality football up the divisions. But can’t see it soon while Rupp is here.
