Ollie Crankshaw

What reason has he got to down tools or rebel against Adams. He's worked with him before and knows exactly what his methods are. Why would Adams bin him off when he knows and has signed Canavan before. He's either injured, had a bust up with Adams or he has downed tools. There's no middle ground and I can't see either of the latter being right.

 

Whilst I am sorry to see Crankshaw go, Adams seems to blame everyone but himself, Rupp, Sparks, the Players for the bad showing lately , if he played a different system now and again, we might see better results, I know we are down to the bare bones, but I do think Mr Adams wants to be King Pin, dont forget he was main man at small clubs before, bit of a culture shock to realise he couldnt have it all his own way when he came to VPr

 

Stockport were keen on Crankshaw before he joined the Bantams in January. They had made several enquiries since and came in with an offer last week.

Adams said: “I thought it was acceptable to the football club. Ollie has played 93 minutes in the league this season and it enables us to have extra money in the budget going forward.

“I’ve got to make a decision and I understand the ones coming back (from injury) might be back in two, three or four weeks.

“If I didn’t allow Ollie to go to Stockport, we would have lost out on a transfer fee and a wage that could be quite useful further down the line.”

Charles Vernam was back in training today and will be in the squad to face Rochdale at Valley Parade.

Crikey that's gone strange pretty quick player leaving and now the rumours about dissent start.

Crankshaw was OK personally I'd have kept him but if there's more money on the table for him personally and the club have got cash for him I can see the logic.

In Adams interview for Sat (to me at least) he seemed to be inferring players have got away with it in the past maybe this is him showing he isn't scared to let players go. Strange analogy but I used to have a teacher who I knew after I finished school who in our first lesson with him absolutely rollocked a kid in front of everyone for chewing gum I thought it was harsh at the time. We spoke about it later and told him it was harsh he basically explained that he did it every new class so that everyone knew not to mess about in his class and set boundaries. Perhaps Adams is showing his teeth.

The old ‘ill’ trick if he was that important they would have postponed the photo shoot until he was well. Wouldn’t be surprised to see he will be gone soon too.

Canavan has a long standing connection to the club, Adams has been here two minutes. I know who I'm backing.

 

But unless you have some insider knowledge about this, it's a non starter of an argument! Do you KNOW if there's a rebellion? Who are your sources? It's fine flying a kite from your imagination, but what facts do you have on this? It's this kind of post that stirs up ill-informed and negative ranting over a debate that doesn't actually exist.
