I think the last few years of sh!tness and Mr Sparks bigging this season up is catching up with some fans,it’s only natural it would happen.

 

Ridehalgh is the only new signing this season that seems like he could be a decent player this season. Seems solid, connects well with Vernam. Not been a bad signing. The rest of them? Poor, so far.

 

These injuries have killed us mate, confidence rock bottom

 

I imagine Sparks will be highly motivated to find some additional funds when he realises the fans only have him to blame for the way this season is going. and to be fair, it does help for us to know who is left to blame, seeing as Sparks has thrown everyone else under the bus, bar Adams (for now)

I know that's why and I've said Sparks was a silly boy before but it's still way over the top and totally stupid

 

I genuinely don't blame Adams. He's a proven, capable manager. But its as if we've looked at his exceptional achievement of getting Morecambe promoted on one of the lowest budgets in the league and seen it as a template.

Until we show some proper ambition thats reflected in how we recruit, we're just throwing a random hand in with 90% of other clubs in the league. The whole 'too big for league 2' narrative is bullshit. We're completely tin pot.

 

There was more atmosphere during lockdown games than there is in this game..

 

We're not a bigger club in any sense that matters. We just have a bigger ground. That isn't actually ours.

 

Sparks is young, enthusiastic and likes to talk, but i cant help feeling he might be out of his depth in this job. He was a commercial sales type, its not clear that gives him the credentials to run a (successful) football club.

Remember Rhodes recruited him, a guy not known for being the most dynamic of CEOs

I think its pretty evident that Lavery an Robinson were not the managers choice of signings. Once Angol is back to being match fit, I imagine he’l be straight back in the team. Cook needs a target man to deflect the the center backs attention away from him
