Under Stefan’s ownership City have gone from challenging for promotion to the championship to scratting around in league two having to ‘stretch the budget’ to sign Theo Robinson. Nothing against Theo but in my opinion Stefan needs to fund the club back to where he found it and then sell up. Year on year regression under his ownership after the play off defeat against Milwall.

That’s why it’s imperative that we get out of this league come next May. Some teams seem to be able to get out of this league at the 1st or 2nd attempt, whether that’s by keeping their squads or investing wisely to get out. Where as we seem stuck in a ground hog moment.

We need an owner to support Ryan’s vision and to ensure we have the best possible chance of getting out this season. I hope he’s there if needed in January.

Lincoln did well with the Cowley brothers but have started this poorly. Let’s hope we can swap places at the end of the season.

I’ve a feeling Robinson may be useful for 1 season only.

 

Its pretty clear, that Stephan is no sugar daddy. So the club will have to live on what it earns.
we do not want any more administrations and finish up like Bury.
You also still have a salary cap of a kind, with the % of income you are allowed to spend in the EFL.
The squad size rules and number of home grown players within that, also can not help, especially if the youngsters you produce are bang average.

 

Absolutely bang on and what makes its worse is he is totally uninterested. He’s currently galavanting around Norway creaming himself over cars, he has no intention in coming to see us and speak to Ryan face to face.

 

We’re just another “portfolio”. He’s got a CEO in place to run his investment for him, and as long as his investment isn’t rapidly losing money, he doesn’t need to be involved. It’s well known he’s not a football man. I see him as one of these Dragons Den type investors. See an opportunity and just adds it to the list of something that “might come good”. He was quick enough to take action when Edin started to put things in motion that would have cost him, but I don’t see him as the proactive type with regards to Bradford City when it comes to growing his asset. He’s not interested. Happy to tick along. Probably owning a UK business is helpful for his other business involvements, and a gateway for more.

Completely agree but on the flip side we have fans (and associate directors like Roger Owen) literally on their knees thanking him for taking the McBurnie money from the club after the bloke he employed to run it overspent.

It happened on Rupps watch, he was negligent at best and should now either suck it up and invest in the manager or sell the club at a huge loss and leave it to someone else.

 

Would you sell a business at a huge loss , just to please some of your customers.
The man is here , he owns it and can do as he pleases until another temporary owner comes along.
