But how do you differentiate between priority members if we get less than 1,000? I think that is when they might bring the points in early. They said they might use it this season so that is the only way I can think they can and still be fair to those that paid for the card

I agree, this has to be a possibility.

Sutton United has a lot of work going on at the moment, so it's difficult to accurately ascertain the away capacity.

The away terrace seems to hold around 500 and, initially, this season the plan was to supplement this with a 150 seat temporary stand, until the new away seated stand (capacity 285) was completed in October. However, it seems they may now retain both seated stands for this season. I also don't know if the two seated stands will encroach on the terrace capacity, although it seems they are being erected in open areas of the ground and the away terrace is mostly covered and won't be affected, although if some of the open areas are included as part of the 500 capacity, the away terrace could have a lower capacity going forwards.

So, it seems, by the time we play there, the away capacity could be:
    • an away terrace of maybe 400 minimum, up to 500; plus
    • a new seated stand of 285; and possibly plus
    • a temporary seated stand of around 150.
So, anywhere between 685 and 935.

I think in the past they have done it by card numbers - ie the lowest numbers are the cards bought first. So if we have (say) 700 away tickets available they invite the first 700 away priority carders to buy first. If there are tickets unsold from that tranche they then invite the remaining away priority carders to apply to purchase on a first come first served basis.

They did do that one year but then since they no longer issue cards I don’t think they have a number attributed to them. Maybe @Loyalbantam@Loyalbantam or @Bronco@Bronco could check?

Seems like a cunning plan, I suggested similar above, if there is another restriction the remaining 300 or so get first dibs.

Just checked with the club and 997 were sold on or before 7th July, so anyone who bought before gets first dibs before you ....................... :)

As the PM would say "I refer you to my previous answer,"

The club announced them on 3rd August and put them on sale on 8th August then announcing they had sold out on 12th August.

I thought for a minute @Loyalbantam@Loyalbantam had hacked your account ;).

If the club planned to differentiate by order of purchase they would have put numbers on. The only thing they have suggested they could use is the points system, so I’d suggest that if they need to use anything it will be the points.

We don't play Sutton until Sat 11th December maybe the club have had conformation by that date Sutton will be able to accommodate 1000 + City fans, as @StaffordBantam@StaffordBantam has posted.

For the Fleetwood play off game the club contacted all priority members to ask if they intended to go to the game. At that time though I think they’d sold 2000 priority cards.

Ok, maybe they didn’t contact everyone.
The idea was though to establish out of the 2000 members how many weren’t going with the hope they could reduce demand of tickets to 800 which Fleetwood offered us. Don’t think they achieved it.
My thoughts are with Sutton is that it’s a long way and this might stop some bothering

Yes sorry we're at home to Sutton on the Sat 11th December, as it's the 30th April that will give the contractors even more time to complete the work, so maybe Sutton can accommodate all the priority ticket holders and more.
Maybe it's the Barrow away fixture that will be the problem New Years Day and only 650 which includes 130 seated unless they make more areas to accommodate City fans.

If I've paid 30 quid for a priority ticket I don't care wether I was the first to purchase or the last to purchase, I want the same access to early ticket sales regardless.

Maybe they have a cunning plan but not told the priority card holders yet, or maybe they know something we mere mortals don't with regards away access at Sutton, Harogate, and Barrow.
