T&A reporting you will have to be double jabbed to attend a game if attendances go over 20,000.

If say 1,000 ST holders are not double jabbed they wont be allowed in-so would there need to be actually 21,000 tickets sold to make it mandatory.

Gonna be a nightmare to enforce this.

You are missing the point surely. You can still contract the virus double jabbed. The Health Secretary case in point, hes double jabbed and proved positive last week. Hes not at risk, imagine if someone at risk caught it?

For example , personally, I am clinically at risk, not because of illness, but because of medication to prevent further illness. My jabs as a result are only 50% effective. So it’s not just the fragile elderly at risk.

I still cannot risk catching Covid because my immune system is severely weakened making any potential symptoms far worse. I respect other people’s freedom to choose, I would expect other people to respect my freedom to argue that the way this has been run in contradictory terms, headed by you know , who is an utter shambles

But only hanging around people who are vaccinated doesn't stop you getting it. Isn't that the key point?

If you're so worried about getting it - and my heart goes out to you for your situation - then large crowds are not going to be for you whether everyone there has a passport or not.

If your jabs have given you immunity then you're fine. If they haven't them sooner or later you will come across somebody who is a carrier. Yes the risks can be reduced slightly but its not the difference between massive risk and no risk. If the risk to you is so serious my advice would be to not get lulled in by a passport that doesn't ensure the venue is covid free anyway.

 

Absolutly right. I /we avoid any crowd and wear masks where busy and 100% in shops.
I didn’t leave the village for a year for nothing.

It’s too early for football matches just yet. That’s why I wanted ifollow to continue. Id be happy to pay DOUBLE for a full season ticket if I could watch ifollow as an alternative to attending home and away.

Thats a choice I don’t have yet I’m willing to pay and it makes me sad and angry I can’t.

 

I totally agree, 50% more chance of getting it than anyone else vaccinated.

And this is the problem for me. The people like yourself who actually need protection don't actually get them from the passport idea anyway. Its a solution that doesn't solve the problem.

Massive amount of sympathy for you and apart from my general unease at a two tier society my fear is that the passports will lead vulnerable people into believing that big crowds are safer then they are. They definitely should be keeping some sort of option for people who can't or don't want to attend for this year.

 

Very easy, my comment was in relation to not being scared to enter vp. Which I'm not. I also lateral flow test regularly and will do so on the day of the first match ensure others are safe around me.

If my test on 14th is negative I have no fear of entering vp because as I'm double jabbed I don't fear others.

If its positive I won't go to protect them.

 

Great you are regularly tested and like your “ won’t go comment “ . The massive problem with Lateral flow tests is quite simple. Only 40% accurate according to…….The Government.
