I am not a fan of most conspiracy theories but a lot of the pushing a vaccine onto people they have got right currently.
Seems to be ramping up scaremongering wherever you look.
Now either that’s because they have paid for so many and want to make use of them or they are trying to use them as a bargaining chip and for more government income down the line.
When you can use the NHS app today to show you’ve had two vaccines you can guarantee in 12 months time or so if they can make 100 quid out fo you to purchase a vaccine passport they will

Imagine telling someone back in January 2020:

'I tell you where this is going to end, we're all going to be forced to have a vaccine, you'll have a digital certificate of vaccination and you won't be able to go to a bloody supermarket unless you show it'.

'Get away you bloody conspiracy theory loon'.

What is this vaccine supposed to do? I know I only had one of the jabs but It hasn't stopped me having the worst week I've had since I got food poisoning in the 90s. Lost over half a stone and my lungs feel fecked. I'd have expected to feel like that without having a jab.

For me, there's a fundamental question. Do the vaccines work? If yes, how do vaccine passports make us safer? If no, how do vaccine passports make us safer.

Hope you're on the mend soon pal. I had flu once and it knocked me over for the best part of a month.

Let's take a step back first. Anti viral vaccines such as AZ don't kill the virus. They work by energising your own immune system prior to coming into contact with the virus so your own ant-bodies etc will attack the virus once it's in your cells. They do this by getting your immune system to recognise the virus earlier so priming your immune system to recognise the virus. Your immune system is already set up to recognise the virus much earlier than if you hadn't had the vaccine.

It isn't however foolproof. How successful it is for you is all about probability and risk. For a single jab of either the AZ or Pfizer vaccine, the largescale trials measured the efficacy of the vaccine at around 65%. That measures how good the vaccine is at preventing the illness. Day to day if you are infected with the virus, you have a 35% chance of that infection leading to the illness. You were one of the 35% whose infection led to the Covid illness which is why you've been so unwell.

A second jab of the vaccine after a time delay improves the efficacy of the vaccine enormously. It increase from around the 65% level to around 95% That may not sound like a big improvement but it means for all of us that the risk of being infected and it becoming an illness drops from around 35% from 1 jab to about 5% after the second. There is still a residual risk there which is why some people who have already been double jabbed can still suffer from the Covid illness but the risk of that is much reduced.

    HTH

Edit - The efficacy rates I quoted above are in relation to the Alpha (Kent) variant. The efficacy rates will be different for protection against the dominant Delta variant. Some studies indicate the current jabs are less effective against the Delta variant.

So why the need for COVID passports if the vaccines are that effective? Why are the vaccinated been made to feel so afraid of the unvaccinated?

If an unvaccinated person gets the virus, and if a vaccinated person is unlucky enough to actually catch the virus from that person, it's very unlikely they'll even get ill, so why are they so scared?

Vaccine passports are about control and coercion, plain and simple. If it were about safety, there'd be no reason to exclude a negative testing option.

I doubt he and some of those around him (excluding the medics and the scientists of course) would have an effing clue!

This is courtesy of my nephew who is a virologist. He is currently doing post-doc research on some aspect of how viruses are transmitted. His rsearch is unconnected with Covid.

NFL now saying if a team next season has to postpone a game due to an outbreak of covid due to unvaccinated players, and they cannot fit in a re-scheduled match, they will forfeit the game.

    Hmmm ....

Get used to it. The coercion and pressure will now only ramp up - unless there's a very real, messy and probably chaotic fightback by people on the streets. People are going to have to decide where their principals lay and the extent they're ready to stand by them - for themselves, but even more so for future generations.

On a more social footing - there's a (significantly) lower level of uptake in vaccination within the BAME community. When anyone who isn't vaccinated starts to be treated like social outcasts, how will that play with the agenda for racial equality.....?

On the subject of vaccine safety, any safety risks have been dismissed as marginal and 'greatly outweighed by the benefit' as a blanket statement for all, by government. And therefore taken as gospel by many.

A couple of interesting points - and I don't know whether there's any connection with the first:

    1) The government has just issued an NHS contract tender for blood clot treatments, with a 3 year contract value of over £3b - £1b per year as an average. This article suggests that the current cost of treatment is nearer £208m per year. That's a hell of a jump - are they expecting a significant increase in blood clot treatments....? Blood clots cost the NHS £570,000 a day - RBR Legflow Active (rbractive.com)
    2) Pharma company pursues a treatment to prevent death from the Covid vaccine ✴️Arc_Unreal on Twitter: "Due to the high volume of deaths related to the Covid vaccine, a company is developing a drug to try and prevent your death from the Covid vaccine! https://t.co/J8ZRbrgBF6" / Twitter

There clearly are risks with this vaccine - how much risk? Who knows, because its heavily censored. However, the fact that we're now dividing society and putting immense pressure on people to take a vaccine that has at least a level of ambiguity around the risk, seems utterly immoral.

Johnson wouldn't have a clue, there again neither would any other member of Parliament. For all these so called experts in the field it doesnt take a genius to work out the best way to fight a virus is containment, the quicker and more rigorous you are with lockdown and civil orders.

That works as a short, sharp tactic if you go VERY heavy. Its not an enduring solution, as we're seeing.

It works IF you are clear and transparent about what the virus is, where and how it originated and why you are going to implement the plans you are to trying and gain control over the spread of the virus. We will never know just how information about the virus was shared via nation's before this shitshow started to hit the media but what your own electorate are looking for is a strong leader. Johnson could really have made a name for himself but instead chose the usual mantra of 'me and my party don't give a shit about anyone but ourselves.'
