Covid & Covid Passports - Rules & Logistics for City matches?

Isn’t the difference that with Spain and Portugal you can still go if not double jabbed but you just need a negative test?

 

Not sure, it was just the first two countries that came in my head. I think the plan is if you are double jabbed you won't need to isolate after.

 

yep both are true but the fundamental difference is the passport introduction for night clubs and large indoor venues is that you will only be able to go if you are double jabbed, if over 18

 

Isn't the vaccine roll out in these countries way behind the UK? Yet 12.5% of adults unjabbed in the UK is a risk and requires covid passports but 30-40% of adults unjabbed in some holiday destinations is not an issue to the same people.

If it didn't happen at Wembley for the euros why should it happen now

I am loving some of the tin pot theories that are going around on this thread. Do you guys genuinely believe a Tory government wants to become china? A party that is only concerned with filling their mates pockets.

Lastly, a lot of people like to compare this with ww2, i wonder if any of the people subject to rationing had the same attitudes people have today regarding covid. Probably did to be honest.

 

Agree those proposals are not what I was expecting, are they implemented at the likes of mass gatherings at night clubs or any other inside venture we're outside.
I'd be dead against any such regimental arrangements I'm not sure I would stop going but it would certainly reduce the prematch experiance, not sure it could work to be honest, would those in the hospitality suites be rounded up at 2:30 and ushered to their seats.
I can accept entry with a mask on but as we have seen from resent sports with fans the vast majority dispense with them once there in their seats, are they are going to implement a Covid passport within a matter of weeks can't happen.
Imagine fans who have purchased season ticket many for families being refused entry, that going on whilst other fans are being ushered to their seats ETC.

Although fans won't pay any attention to it as was shown at VP on Saturday, so I suppose it doesn't really matter what the rules are. They won't be enforced.

 

If we have to have entry time slots then I’ll be out, it’s not so much a matter of principle but it ruins the day for me. I find pre match boring and turn up for around 2.55, I have no desire to sit there for 30+ minutes freezing my arse off in winter. Also do we have to stay afterwards, no mention of that. Imagine being 3 or 4 down and having to sit there in freezing cold for 10-15 minutes after a game when thousands are just going to pack onto public transport after and pre game anyway. Doesn’t make sense to me. I’ll wear a mask if need be, as I can see the benefits but with timed entry social distance will still be impossible to do during and after the match so it’s as useful as a chocolate fireguard.

 

So you can pack into numerous pubs prior to kick off, pile onto trains and buses on the way to the game with pretty much no restrictions.

But when you get to the ground you are required to wear masks whilst moving round the stands and have timed slots to turn up to the ground.

That makes feck all sense, pretty much like everything coming from the government. Boris's bingo machine spewing Covid rules continues.

Absolutely not. They have been a bit of a mess on this (though anyone would given how unprecedented it is) but they are trying to balance managing the pandemic with keeping the country afloat. Tories are essentially libertarians so there is no way in hell any covid passport will lead to anything other than managing the virus out of circulation. Anything else is just up there with believing Elvis is alive and Darwins theory of evolution is trumped by two naked people eating apples and pro-creating a multi billion population thereafter.

How about people thats got to travel large distances, its just not feasible, a boat load of common sense needs to prevail here
