Don’t think you can call a player injury prone for one seasons injury he may just have been unlucky

 

Is he or did he have one season with challenging injuries (i.e. Last season)

I don't know the answer, just asking.

I think we can put his injury at Valley Parades down to our situation, both him and Staunton were encouraged to return before they were ready because of our circumstances, unfortunatly that was McCall choice small squad etc.

 

Because he's had one injury, while he was with us?

I would have liked to see us try for Marc McNulty. Tranmere seem set to sign him though

 

With Lee and David early on indicating they had their targets 'in the bag' so to speak..I'm a tad surprised that all avenues weren't in place in the event of missing out on any of them.

No because he was unlucky and had injuries at Leeds before he joined us on loan, He came to us after a spell out injured at Leeds, He is only 22 and had 2 serious injuries both requiring surgery. To much of a gamble

 

Footballers get injuries, it's a physical game. To write someone off at 22 though because he's had a couple of long term injuries is nonsense.

How many injuries had Peter Beagrie had before we signed him? Or Peter Thorne?

Medical science is excellent these days and providing he's fully recovered from the operations then there's absolutely no reason to suggest he's any more of a risk than any other footballer.

 

We have a small budget and cannot risk carrying injured players especially those with a history, When he has played and trained without problems for 12/18 months then it may be a different story, Bigger clubs may carry a player but we just do not have the resources on what would be a gamble especially when we have our own young prospects to concentrate on
Leeds do not get rid of good players without reason

A broken leg isn't career ending anymore.
